The Accessory Shoe Mount for LCD Monitors from ProAM USA can mount directly to a camcorder or camera's shoe mount, and allows for the attachment of video accessories that can attach to a 1/4"-20 screw and weigh up to 2 pounds. Specifically meant to attach acessory monitors to your camcorder or camera while shooting video, this ball head has a single locking knob for fast and safe operation, and is easily installed and removed.

This head features a removable shoe mount at the bottom to reveal a 1/4"-20 thread that allows it to attach to items other than a camera or camcorder such as a bracket, tripod, or camera crane that has a 1/4"-20 screw. The head itself allows for up to 90º of vertical articulation.

A: Well I found the sticking parts of the unit do not allow the monitor to close properly after I installed the unit. I had to find an other way to attach it. I believe a sun protector with a band that you can remove at will would be best. I do not recommend this product.

A: No, the ProAm USA Iris 7" LCD Video Monitor only has composite inputs and would not work with cameras like the Canon EOS RP that output from HDMI. A: This product has a 1/4"-20 Threaded Bottom Mount. That is a standard size for accessories.

A: If you are connecting to a device with an mini HDMI input and the other side to a standard size HDMI output using the ProAm HDCBL_15 cable, then yes it will work.

With this shock mount, I can literally pound on my desk and absolutely no resonance gets through the arm into the mic. I'm using this for my Audio-Technica ATR 2100 (the old mini USB model, not the newer X model with USB type C) which is about 28 mm in diameter, and the bands across the front and back hold it very nicely even though the actual sleeve is made for a 52 mm microphone. The isolation is PHENOMENAL. My super cheap mic arm is attached to my desk and used to send a resonating gong type sound into the mic any time something impacted the desk (a drink, my hand, etc.) and I hated subjecting my stream audience to that. That's no longer a worry! 5

I use this to mount my jib/crane onto its stand. It is easy to use and durable after heavy use at a school. It is primarily used by teens in a film class. 5

I tried 3 previous shock mounts claiming to be able to hold a 42mm mic. I might as well have been using scotch tape. None of them would grip enough to keep the mic from easily sliding through. I am using this on a vintage (heavy) AKG tube mic, so I needed something really secure. This unit has both a spring clamp, and the quadruple rubber band style you see on SDC mics. Great job. It is actually better than the factory unit. Finally got something that works! 5
