The black Embrace EO2-8WL Dual-Element Omnidirectional Earmount Microphone from Point Source Audio pairs two microphone elements into a single housing to create a sleek form factor and ultra-low-profile earmount microphone. It can be used to capture audio and offers built-in microphone redundancy for wireless transmitters in live stage, theater, and broadcast applications.

The Embrace EO2-8WL's dual elements are factory matched to a near identical ±0.5 dB difference and both elements are IP57 waterproof rated. The microphone cable splits approximately 9" above the connection to the bodypack to allow for ample room for separation of the transmitters. In addition, the mic is equipped with a 6' cable that terminates with two 3.5mm locking X-Connectors for Sennheiser EW series transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Just to set this straight: can you record four channels (XLR 1, XLR 2 & 3.5 mm stereo) with the A7S III?

A: No, the XLR-K3M is a two-channel adapter kit designed for Sony cameras that use their Multi Interface Shoe. The kit includes the XLR-A3M two-channel mixer/adapter and ECM-XM1 shotgun microphone. Only two microphones can be connected to the XLR-A3M - one on each of the XLR-1/4" combo jack inputs or one single stereo mic connected to the stereo 3.5mm mini jack input. Q: 2. Would I be able to clamp the Rode NTG5 into the holder on the k3m?

A: Yes but you will need to add spacers to make the diameter of the mic larger. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/341475-REG/Sanken_ROCS_ROCS_Rubber_O_Rings_f_CS_1.html?sts=pi&pim=Y

Q: 3. What’s the advantage of a digital signal vs an analog signal. I have the xlrk2m and was wondering is it would make a difference

A: If you are able to use the digital connection from this adapter to your camera, this means the signal stays digital going from the digital converter to the camera. There is no additional digital to analog converter the signal must pass through to be heard by the camera. This is ideal if your camera allows for a digital connection.

Q: 4. Is this compatible with the Sony A6500? And does it also have a headphone jack to monitor levels?

A: This is compatible with the a6500, but you must set the switch on the back to "analog" for it to function. There are no headphone jacks on this unit.

Q: 5. would this bag fit under seat for air travel used as personal item? thanks

A: The exterior of the compagnon Element Sling 15 Camera Backpack (Desert Brown) is 15 x 12.2 x 6.3". That is small enough for most carry on. As for under the seat it depends on the plane you are on. Best for that is to contact your airline you use most.

Q: 6. Does SONY A7III support digital input from this adapter or analog only?

A: The Sony A7III will work with this product for Analog Audio only.

Q: 7. The Sony a6000 does not have any audio jacks on board. Would this allow external audio to be recorded to that body?

A: Yes. The A6000 uses a cable-free connection to send audio into the camera through Sony's Multi-Interface Shoe.

Q: 8. What is the difference between the analog signal I get from my k2m to the digital signal I might get from the K3m. I don’t know if it’s worth upgrading time the K3m if I buy the a7siii. (I now shoot with the a7iii w the k2m)

A: When connected via the Multi Interface Shoe of a compatible camera, such as the Sony a7SIII, this unit acts as a digital audio interface and will send the converted digital audio directly to the camera. This will allow for virtually no degradation of signal. Currently, the analog audio is converted within your camera. which I am sure is providing good quality audio, but this is another improvement you may want to choose if you upgrade to the new camera.

Q: 9. Is it compatible with Sony FDR-AX100E?

A: thank you for your question. This XLR muti interface shoe adapter will work with the FDR-AX100E to allow 2 high quality xlr inputs for better audio recording.

Q: 10. There is some product photos showing two switches on the back of the unit (Digital/Analog) and (Input Select). Can all 3 channels be selected for output to my camera?

A: The Digital/ Analog switch must be set based on whether the attached camera can accept a digital audio source or not. If the camera can accept a Digital Audio connection, then set the switch to Digital. If not, then set the switch to Analog. In terms of audio input selection, if your camera can accept 4 channels of audio, you can switch input select to IN1-IN2 and all input channels will be sent to the camera. If your camera can only accept 2 channels of audio, then you can use inputs 1 and 2, or input 3.
