Q: 1. can this unit circumvent dhcp ?

A: The Teranex is unable to record/capture HDMI copyright protected sources.

Q: 2. Does the Teranex Mini IP support the Blackmagic Videohub Ethernet Protocol (aka Blackmagic Videohub Router Control Protocol)?

A: With the Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini IP Video 12G, a virtual videohub can be created using the Videohub software that supports the IP video converters.

Q: 3. Hi,We have Sony FS 7 , 4K cameras & 4 k upgraded FOR A HVS 110 switcher,We want to use this for 4 K Live production, we want your guidance on converting the 4K Hdmi output from Sony FS 7 camera to 4 K quad input of our FOR A switcher....with minimum of 70 mtr cable length,We are thinking of going for Teranex Mini - HDMI to SDI 12G - From camera end & re-converting to 4 k quad output with Teranex Mini - 12G-SDI to Quad SDI - at the switcher end , is it feasible to this with 70 - 80 mtrs of cable length with this converters, will it take this load for minimum 5 - 6 hours of production, will it gets heated up beyond permissible limit, If it can take this load which cable you will recommend,Pl give us your technical opinion & options,RegardsShashikant

A: The equipment combination should work, but you'll have to place both converters at the camera end. So you'll need to make 4 runs of RG11, from the 2nd converter to your FOR A quad input. You can't run the 2 6G lines 80 meters, so that's why you need to do both conversions and run 4 3G lines. Make sure you check the coax RG11 for the exact spec, because they do vary, but should be able to take 3G to at least 100 meters.

Q: 4. Need to breakout 8K video to an 8K TV via HDMI, and down convert to HD via SDI for Flanders Scientific BF210. Can this unit manage that? Would plan to output video signal from Decklink 8K Pro to the Teranex Mini.

A: It cannot output to an 8K TV and an HD SDI monitor at the same time. You will need an additional converter/Scaler for the Flanders Monitor.

Q: 5. Are these Converters Rackmountable?

A: no, it is not rackmountable.

Q: 6. If you buy the quad to 12G and 12G to quad, can you send 4 independent 3G video signals on one 12G RG6 cable?

A: It will not work this way. The four signals must be part of a single signal.

Q: 7. Does this pass through embedded audio? Does this pass through Closed Captioning data?

A: The Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini Quad SDI to SDI 12G Converter will pass through the closed captioning data.

Q: 8. Can this be used to automatically calibrate an LG consumer OLED display?

A: The Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR Converter does not have a HDMI connection. However, you can use HDMI to SDI converters. Yes, the Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR Converter could work and calibrate a connected display. Please note you will also need a colorimeter like the following model. Calibrite ColorChecker Display Plus BH #CACCDIS3PL Blackmagic Design Micro Converter HDMI to SDI 12G with Power Supply BH #BLMCHS12PSU

Q: 9. Can you choose which of the 16 audio channels on the SDI stream to de-embed?

A: When using the Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini SDI to Audio 12G Converter you may select any of the 8 channel pairs to extract.

Q: 10. Is there any audio processing that can be done with the unit? For instance, compression?

A: No, the Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini Audio to SDI 12G Converter doesn't provided any audio processing other than gain control.

I was looking for a strong, light monopod for my Sony a7mk3.  This really fits the bill.  The locking clips make for quick releases, the feet are big and provide good stability, and the screw top is robust and solid.  Even though this is not carbon fiber, its very light with excellent build quality.  I can even attach a fluid head for video to the top, and still have excellent balance and support.

This is my first monopod after owning several tripods.  It is now my go to support, as it is very sturdy and gives me the freedom to move around quickly during stage performances.  I am using it with a DSLR, which I use to record video.  Cant believe Ive gone so long without it.

Manfrotto always delivers. This is a genius addition to my run and gun kit - replaces a single stick mono (also Manfrotto and 20 years old) and a heavy tripod for a lot of shots. Big win, great value - get one :)

great monopod for photo and video. highly recommended to everyone and could be use as tripod with extended 3 legs. also I like that it is extended almost at 7 feet high and it is additional benefit for use in crowded area with limited spaces.

This monopod is perfect. The ability to quickly adjust it to the correct height during a shoot has been awesome. We combined it with the Manfrotto MOVE Quick Release Catcher System and it has been a huge improvement in speed and agility. Highly recommend!

This monopod is sturdy and camlocks work smooth. I used it to support Canon R3 camera with RF600mm F4 lens as well as Canon EOS 5D MARK IV with EF 800mm F5.6 lens and hat no issue with either setup. I like the fact that the head of it has a dual sized screw so you don't have to get any additional adapters. Very compact and lightweight which is ideal in those situations when you need to switch to hand held in a jiffy. Definitely something to consider for hiking with ( I had hiked with Gitzo tripod weighing 7lbs with gimbal head before I got this one ) huge size and weight advantage.

Memorial Day / 2014 ....so there I was standing on the street in Washington DC as a line of thousands of Motorcyclists crossed the Potomac River on what is called the Memorial Bridge-- the road sweeps in a curve as the bikers come off the bridge and they travel on to pass the Vietnam Memorial.. Im shooting a tight compressed shot of an interesting looking rider on his bike ( Its hard not to find a cool shot with a crowd like that) and using the Manfrotto MVMXPro for the first time.  I say to myself, Do I dare try to widen out just a snivvy, pan with him as he cruises around the curve and keep him in frame? -- The shot was as smooth as glass-- the motion of the head and the stability of the Monopod were superb.  --- Now granted I took time to set up the Head with proper tension and axis movement. I squirted a dose of WD-40 on it too!  Time and again since that first day-- this monopod has made me look better than I am!

Manfrotto or nothing. I stand by their products. You pay more but its worth it. This Monopod holds my Panasonic AG-AC130a with ease. (5 pounds give or take) Fluid pan / tilt motion. The quick release plate is compatible with my Manfrotto tripod making for easy quick transition when seconds count. Its built strong. Slightly heavier than what im accustom to but my other monopod was trash. Beware of pinching your self in the locking mechanisms. I would have liked a carrying bag for the money. Overall a great addition to my gear.
