The AViPAS AV-1280 SDI PoE PTZ Camera, in gray, allows up to 1080p60 resolution output over an SDI output and up to 1080p30 IP streaming via an RJ45 interface. Featuring 10x optical zoom, it provides a 6.43 to 60.9° adjustable angle of view, suitable for video conferencing, education, houses of worship, and other applications. Focusing can be performed manually or set to automatic. A low-noise 1/2.8" sensor ensures a high signal-to-noise ratio while advanced 2D/3D noise-reduction technology further reduces noise, so that an even sharper image is delivered. The pan/tilt/zoom mechanism uses an accurate step-driving motor and functions quiet and smooth. A line-level 3.5mm audio input, RS-232 input and output ports, and PoE support complete the AV-1280 with external audio, external control, and convenient power capabilities.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. does this have a built in microphone?

A: No it does not have a built in microphone.

Q: 2. Any concerns with connecting this camera via HDMI cable directly to a TV in another room?

A: This would work fine, though most HDMI signals will only work under 35' length. Otherwise you may need an HDMI extender, such as: KanexPro HDMI Full HD Extender over Cat6 (196'). https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1288878-REG/kanexpro_ext_hd60m_hdmi_extender_over_cat6.html

Q: 3. Hi, I was wondering what image latency this camera has? For example, to use a camera for IMAG or live video, the lowest frame latency is desired.

A: Using the HDMI output of this camera you should expect little to no latency. It would be perfect for displaying the image live.

Q: 4. Is it OBS compatible?

A: Yes this cameras Ip streaming Protocol is compatible with OBS

Q: 5. Will the IR remote work if I'm standing to the side or behind the camera?

A: The IR remote will only work where the IR sensor is visible, which is in the front of the camera.

Q: 6. Is it good for live-streaming sporting events?

A: For a fairly close range installation, the AViPAS AV-1081 could be a good choice for a live streaming camera for sporting events, though for sports, you may want to consider a PTZ camera with a longer zoom range such as a 20x camera or even a 30x camera: PTZ Optics 20x PT20XSDIWHG2 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1237027-REG/ptzoptics_pt20x_sdi_wh_g2_gen2_20x_sdi_video_conferencing.html PTZ Optics 30x PT30XSDIGYG2 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1401958-REG/ptzoptics_pt30x_sdi_gy_g2_30x_optical_zoom_3g_sdi.html

Q: 7. Does this camera have manual gain and iris settings?

A: the camera supports manual focus and manual white balance, and manual shutter settings. The gain settings are user assignable but there are no specifics on manual aperture settings

Q: 8. Is there any latency in the IP stream vs the HDMI? I want to feed the camera video separately from the audio into my pc's production software.

A: There should be no latency issues in the IP stream, compared to the HDMI.

Q: 9. I have read there is no control via app, I am assuming these questions refer to android or IOS control. I am asking if there is any ntework control options at all, through IP/Network, or are the only control options the RS232 and IR remote?

A: According to AViPAS this camera can be controlled via IP connection, in a program such as OBS (Open Broadcast Software: https://obsproject.com/). "AV-1081 uses a built-in TCP server... TCP/UDP control is both based on the VISCA protocol. You may use them according to OBS or other software's control options." https://www.avipas.com/product-page/av-1081-10x-hdmi-ptz-camera

Q: 10. Can you control ptz with a Blackmagic ATEM HD television pro?

A: We're afraid not. This cannot be controlled through an ATEM Switcher.
