A: I can't answer if it will fit your Subaru but I can tell you I really like this case. It holds four Manfrotto stackable stands plus a Cheetah stand and a bunch of adapters in the main compartment. I have multiple 45 umbrellas and a 3' Profoto Octi in the pockets. You should know if you are going to fill it up the width can increase substantially. I just measured mine as nearly 17 across, and I would not call it overloaded. I love rolling into a gig with all of my lighting in one bag.

A: I fly with this bag monthly and I've never had an issue with an airline accepting it in checked baggage. I fly Southwest Airlines a lot, and as long as it's not more than 50lbs, they've never charged me for excessive or oversized baggage. You can get a lot gear in this bag and keep it under 50 lbs.

Q: 5. Could this be used to store lights as well as light stands? The largest thing I'd wanna put in there is a tweenie.

A: This is a really great case. I have back ground stand, light stands, cables and some Elinchrom ELB units. If you have bigger lights I would pad them.

A: Yes it is but it doesn't have a TSA locking system so I would be worried about theft. I carry on my expensive camera gear.

A: While carry on regulations are different for different airlines most of them allow for bags that are 22 x 14 x 9 . This bag is 28.5 x 13.0 x 14.0 , which is too large for carry on I'm afraid. You may want to consider B&H #PE1510SCB which is the Pelican 1510 case. It is a rolling case, with a handle and is the right size for carry on.

A: Checking all available dimensions, we see no particular issues using this case for the FS5. You would probably wish to cut/add the foam to be more form-fitting since the camcorders it is meant for are differently shaped. In light of the fact SKB does not at this time make a case specifically for the FS5, we would suggest you consider the SKB iSeries Waterproof Case with Wheels for Blackmagic URSA Mini B&H # SK221312BKU. The BMD Mini has a similar form factor to the FS5. Since the Mini is larger, you probably will wish to add foam. Still, over all we feel this case for only a few dollars more would work better with the FS5.
