Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this fit the Manfrotto 608 Nitrotech Fluid Video Head?

A: Yes, the ProMediaGear PM501L can fit the Manfrotto 608 Nitrotech Fluid Video Head.

Q: 2. Will this work with a Gitzo G2272M head to Arca Swiss L Bracket on a Nikon D850?

A: No, the gitzo quick release receiver is incompatible with the manfrotto 501 series plates that ProMedia uses on this adapter. You could consider attaching an adapter like Kirk QRC-2.6 Arca-Type Quick Release Clamp to your Gitzo quick release plate by way of the 1/4" thread you would normally attach to your camera. You'll also need a 1/4" to 3/8" Tripod Adapter/Bushing. This is not an ideal solution because you can still get loosening and twist where the Gitzo plate attaches to the Kirk adapter. If you need a 3 way pan and tilt head that's Arca compatible consider Induro PHQ1 and PHQ3 heads.

Q: 3. Is this (PM501L) a better fit for MVH502AH (uses a 504PLONG plate) compared to PM501?

A: The ProMediaGear PM501L Manfrotto-Type Quick Release Plate with Arca-Type Clamp in either head fits the same way.

Q: 4. I'm looking to use this during an interview for my second, wide angle. Can anyone confirm that at the right distance from the subject as the camera pan from the curve, will the subject stay in the same framing? And if so, about what the distance from the subject is?

A: The VS32 PMG-Duo 32 slider is two sliders in one. The straight track is 32 in length. The curved side on the reverse has a radius of 72 or 6 feet. If you keep your subjects or objects centered at a distance of 72 or 6 feet the slider will move slightly around them. This adds a great touch of dynamic movement in your shot.

Q: 5. Will this clamp screw right on to the stem of a 488rc2? Will the oem manfrotto clamp screw off the stem?

A: The 488RC2 has a 3/8 -16 stem. The C60 clamp will not fit directly. You need a different insert (C3816INSERT) from promediagear. I did not like the quality, knob rotation is rough, mounting surface wasn't flat.

Q: 6. Would this be a good choice for mounting on Monopod with 10# Camera/Lens combo?

A: The ProMediaGear Arca-Type Clamp for Straps, Holsters, and L-Brackets with Built-In Arca Dovetail does hold 10 lbs easily. It has a smaller 1/4" screw opening in the bottom, so you would need a monopod that has that screw. Most monopods have a 1/4" screw though.

Q: 7. Are all 7 screw holes 1/4-20"?

A: Yes, all the 7 screws in the ProMediaGear PXC1 6" Arca-Type Compatible Plate with Integrated Clamp BH #PRPXC1 are 1/4-20".

Q: 8. can i use this product on a Vanguard SBH-100?

A: They had a shipment from Pro Media where the insert was fitted with Loc Tite so you could not remove it, beware

Q: 9. What is the maximum payload for this slider?

A: 20 lbs. Max payload support.

Q: 10. What is the max payload?

A: From the manufacturer's website, up to 20 lbs .We haven't put that much weight on ours, but we're very satisfied with this slider.

This is an exquisitely made ball head. I have been using the Sirui K-40X for a number of years, and it is a good functional head, but the BH50 is in another league in terms of precision and smoothness of operation.
The quality difference is reflected in the cost difference, so it boils down somewhat on what you want to spend. For precision copywork of art, the difference is worth it to me.

This is a robust and flexible Ball Head that is a real winner. The ball is very smooth with little to no sticktion, even with a decent amount of friction dialed in. Dual drop notches are a nice touch and the large locking knob is really great.
