Q: 1. Does the joint at the mic maintain it's angle as you move the boom arm? Or do you have to reposition the mic each time the boom arm is moved?

A: The action of the spring inside the arm maintains a proportionate angle between the bottom and middle joints. Due to the nature of the spring-loaded arm, the joints do not naturally move independently of each other. It is however possible to keep the arm steady during adjustment without too much difficulty, and each joint can be manually adjusted if the opposite section is held in place with your other hand.

Q: 2. Will this mount work with a Neumann U87?

A: This shock mount is made for specific Samson microphones. I would suggest using the appropriate shock mount, which is the Neumann EA87 - U87 Shock Mount for U87 Microphones (Nickle), BH #NEEA87.

Q: 3. The boom arm is stiff by default, Is it possible to adjust the tension?

A: Use a bit of mineral oil or WD-40. The spring tension will loosen wth time. There is no tensino adjustment.

Q: 4. Does this mount fit the threads on the Shure KSM 27?

A: The KSM 27 is not compatible with the Samson mount and requires a Shure part. The A27SM is the recommended mount for the KSM27.

A: No, the SP01 does not work with the Blue Yeti Nano. At this time, Blue does not offer a shockmount for the Yeti Nano and we do not have another shockmount by any manufacturer that we can confidently offer as a compatible accessory for use with the Yeti Nano.

A: The SP01 does fit a number of condenser microphones but there is not a universal diameter. Although it will most likely work, we cannot guarantee exact compatibility. Sorry we could not be more specific.
