The SuperCopier Desktop Gen 3 Drive Duplicator with 16 x SAS/SATA Ports from MediaClone is an industrial multiple-purpose drive duplication unit. It can be used to perform drive duplication, drive imaging, drive cloning, drive selective imaging, drive erase, drive diagnostics, and drive quick format of many drives quickly and efficiently. The unit performs at a very high transfer rate in a secure Linux environment, and is operated via user-friendly touchscreen application. The unit has a durable desktop-style build, with a 16-channel open tray for easy drive insertion and connection, 16 SATA / SATA 3 ports, ten USB 3.1 ports (two Gen 2), and three eSATA interfaces. By default, one SAS/SATA port and one USB port are set to perform as the source ports. The user has the flexibility to assign each target port of the unit as source or target.

This mode offers 100% bit-by-bit mirror copying. It works with any operating system and any file system, using a HASH verification mechanism that includes a HASH target drive and compares to the source drive for 100% verification of transferred data. The user can also image a portion of the drive by adjusting the percentage of the bit-by-bit mirror imaging.

Drives can also be duplicated in Quick Copy / Advanced Smart Copy mode. The application supports duplication of the files system only, from many source drives using FAT, NTFS, exFAT, HFS+, or Linux EXT2-4 file system to many target drives. Also, the application can automatically perform the following functions:

• Partitions scanning on the source drive
• Partitions scaling on the target drive
• Copy encrypted partition and unrecognized partition
• Scaling (options include scale all partitions, selectively scale partitions, disable scaling, and scale down partition)

This mode supports copying from source drives containing multiple VHD files.

This mode supports selective capture of files and folders.

The application supports duplication of data from one source drive to many target drives, or from many source drives to many target drives up to 1:15 on SAS ports, 1:18 on SATA ports, and more on USB 3.1 ports.

The application supports independent channel/port erase operations using erase protocols such as DoD, Security Erase, and Enhanced Security Erase.

The application supports quick formatting for NTFS, exFAT, FAT32, HFS+, and EXT4 file systems.

The user can run drive diagnostics on target drives. Supported diagnostics include S.M.A.R.T and Read-Verify tests, which report the location and number of bad sectors and weak media.

A: I'm assuming you mean MAC compatible? We have never used it with a MAC or PC - we simply put a 'master' cd in the top drive and make duplicates.

A: The WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive has a 4TB drive inside.

Q: 8. Will this allow me to transfer data from a windows computer to a mac?

A: Yes, however the WD 16TB Elements Desktop USB 3.0 External Hard Drive would require reformatting to do so.

A: No you cannot. It is a standalone device that can copy data from one USB flash drive to up to seven targets, simultaneously.
