A: They are the strongest of the cheap stands. Very wide base gives them good support, but they are lightweight stands. I use them for litepanels and other small lights

A: The 3 stands fit perfectly in the Manfrotto LBag110; the dimensions of the bag are: 43.31 x 7.87 (110 x 20cm) (LxD). If you get the stands, definitely get the bag too. Excellent quality & a perfect fit!

A: I would go for the unit with foam or TrekPak. I bought 2 of these units for high end printing units and photographic gear. Have gone with the TrekPak inserts and the equipment is very secure and stable when the case is closed. I have an older unit with the foam and the gear in that unit has travelled on many global flights and never had an issue. I think with either foam or TrekPak, you will be good to go! I can't comment for size as I don't know how big the Celestron is.
