A: If I am understanding you correctly, yes, you can shoot and have the JPG's sent to your computer while the RAW and JPG files are being written and saved to the CF card.

A: Yes, you can use Camera Connect. It is downloadable from Canon and can then be loaded your phone, iPad or computer. You can also use the Canon utility that shipped with your camera.

A: Canon indicates it will work in three and only three camera bodies:This Wi-Fi adapter must be installed into the SD card slot of the host camera again, an EOS 7D Mark II, EOS 5DS, or 5DS R. These are the only Canon EOS cameras, as of the introduction of the W-E1, that will be compatible.The host camera requires a firmware upgrade, available free from Canon web sites, to enable communication with the Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1. This adds new menu items for the wireless features added by this accessory card. (EOS 7D Mark II cameras sold with the Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1 included in the box will have this firmware factory-installed, so no upgrade is needed for those cameras to enable wireless operation. And, beginning in Fall of 2016, newly-made EOS 5DS and 5DS R cameras will roll off the production line with this firmware also factory-installed.)A very important note: the W-E1 card cannot store image files at all. It solely contains the hardware to perform wireless connection to compatible external devices. Q: 9. This may be a dumb question but does this connect wirelessly directly with a smartphone or computer or does it have to be through a router? Like I said, it may be dumb but for example an apple tv connects to your devices through a network and not directly. I imagine a camera would need to connect directly. If I am out in the woods away from a wifi connection and want to remotely control the camera with my phone will this work? Also, if I want to upload a picture to instagram, will I be able to transfer it directly to my phone and upload through my cell data?

A: It appears that it works directly with the smartphone. In setup, the camera has a screen that asks for connection to the phone. You then get a pass code which you use to access a wifi network that appears to come direct from the camera. On the phone, this shows as different from the router in our home. And, I have gotten a bit over 25 feet of connectivity indoors with a direct sight line.

Q: 10. Sd card adapter for 7d

A: This will work in the 7DMkII but not the 7D, there is not storage on this card so it wouldn't really work in a SD 2 CF card adapter, if that is your question.

This system has to be the easiest and most efficient whole house WiFi. I set it up in 30 minutes and have the best coverage thru out a 3000 sq ft home. I would recommend Orbi whole home tri-band mesh WiFi system to everyone that is looking to to upgrade 5

Since installing my Orbi Mesh WiFi6 system, I have had no dropped signal on any of my devices. My old router dropped several times a day on different devices in the house. The Orbi also has maintained the best speeds I have been able to get out of my internet service as well. It cost a bit more than I would have like to pay, but you get what you pay for in this case and we are happy with the performance, coverage and, reliability. 5

Have been using an Apple Extreme network for years. The Orbi is a wonderful upgrade. Faster, stronger and more reliable. We upgraded our ISP speed to 1GB/sec and have over 800GB speeds on over 30 devices throughout our 5500 sq ft home. Easy to setup. Thanks! 5
