The N-8 DI 8-Channel DI from Phoenix Audio is a high-quality, eight-channel active stereo DI with Class-A discrete high-impedance inputs and Class-A discrete transformer-balanced outputs. Providing a gain control that sounds clean, clear, and unrestrained, it can be used with guitars, keyboards, or any input source. In addition, the DI's characteristics are noticeable and are suitable for sweetening the output from a DAW or any other signal source.

The N-8 DI's are built around a fully discrete Class-A circuit design, all handwired with military-grade silver connections into rugged and portable steel boxes. The transformerless input stage assures that signals are delivered into the circuit with no treble roll off or sluggish bass response. You'll hear the full-bodied punchy sounds necessary for delivering the powerful signals of modern music.

The output stage of the N-8 uses Phoenix Audio's DSOP-2 all discrete output amp based on head-designer Dave Rees's TF1 amp, which he developed for use in vintage Neve modules. With its custom-wound DB694 transformer and enormous headroom, the DSOP-2 can be driven to taste. Deliver more gain to achieve a beautifully saturated sound; back off for a cleaner, hi-fi sound; or choose any flavor in-between. Additionally, you'll find the N-8 DI 8-Channel DI to be musical, intuitive, versatile, and capable of breathing new life into any directly injected signal.

A: I bought the same lens to take college baseball photos of my son. I found that the auto focus did not work quickly enough, and the pictures turned out very poor. I had much better luck when I turned the auto focus off and used the manual focus. I was then pleased with my pictures. I do notice that the bokeh (blurry areas in the background) can sometimes look bad though. I'm sure this has to do with the fact that this is not a real high end lens. I am basically happy with the lens, as I was looking for something that gave me the distance at a lower price. I hope this information might help you. Good luck!
