This projector is designed to provide an augmented 4K UHD experience with pixel-shifting resolution-enhancement technology

The 10-bit color output and dynamic contrast ratio of up to 1,000,000:1 help provide a wide range of color and detail in both bright and dark scenes.

Parallel pixel processing and a 3-chip architecture help provide enhanced color brightness and accuracy.

2600 lumens of color brightness and white brightness combine to provide rich color.

The motorized lens provides powered focus, 2.1x zoom, and vertical & horizontal lens shift.

This feature delivers up to 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut in Digital Cinema Mode thanks to the 12-bit digital color processing chip.

Low Delta E means accurate color reproduction.

Epson's Advanced Projection Lens is designed to display a bright, uniform image with virtually no hot spots or chromatic aberrations.

Without a color wheel, there's no distracting rainbow effect. Also, balanced color and white brightness means no white segments.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do the Home Theater System come with Cables for the Speakers and how long are They.? Thank you very much.? JJ

A: Yes it comes with cables but unfortunately Yamaha does not specify their length.

Q: 2. How would you connect this to a home theatre projector? Does this need an a_v receiver?

A: The Sony HT-A9 4.0.4-Channel Wireless Home Theater System (BH # SOHTA9) is designed to connect directly to a television or projector equipped with HDMI eARC or ARC ports. An AV surround-sound, multi-channel, home theater receiver is not required or recommended.

Q: 3. What specific stands can you recommend for these speakers?

A: Hi Anthony, thank you for your inquiry. Any general speaker stands that support the following dimensions and weight will work with our HT-A9. It does have mounting holes at the back, but there are no bottom mounting holes. Dimensions (approx.) (w/h/d): 150 mm × 52 mm × 150 mm (6 in × 2 1/8 in × 6 in) Mass (approx.): 730 g (1 lb 10 oz) We also recommend visiting your local retailer to find a speaker stand that meets the size of these speakers and your stylistic preferences. Hope this helps! Regards, Sam

Q: 4. Do the speakers come in black and can you attach a second subwoofer?

A: The satellite speakers do not come in black. Unfortunately there is no output port available for a 2nd subwoofer.

Q: 5. Are these powered speakers and do they need to be plugged in?

A: The speakers that are included in the Yamaha YHT-5960U 5.1-Channel MusicCast Home Theater System receive power and audio signal from the receiver/amplifier that is included in the same system. The speakers do not have their own power plugs. They need to be connected to the receiver/amplifier.

Q: 6. The system frequency response is only up to 10kHz? How is that "Hi-Rez" music?

A: But the FTC power for other receiver/amplifier is rated using 20-20kHz frequency range. The fact that this set of speakers only gives up to 10kHz for power rating is very concerning. I hope Sony could clarify this.

Q: 7. I'm tempted on purchasing this system. However, seeing reviews about audio dropouts is concerning. Has the issue been fixed or has Sony acknowledged the issue and working on a fix?

A: Hi Gary, Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Certain factors may contribute to connectivity issues. We do have troubleshooting steps that may help improve the performance of the HT-A9. You may refer to this link for more information: https://helpguide.sony.net/ht/a9/v1/en/contents/TP1000196690.html Should you need any assistance, please contact our product support team via phone call or chat through this link: https://us.esupport.sony.com/support/s/service?language=en_US. -Sam

Q: 8. Hi, What type of HDMI cable do you recommend for this projector?

A: The Epson Home Cinema 4010 Pixel-Shifted UHD 3LCD Home Theater Projector (B&H # EPPLHC4010) would work well with the following HDMI cable: NTW High-Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet (15'), B&H # NTHSHDMI2815.

Q: 9. Why does the description say 4.0.4 when the HT-a9 is a 7.1.4 channel system? Is this an error or are there different versions?

A: The Sony HT-A9 4.0.4-Channel Wireless Home Theater System BH #SOHTA9 is a 4.0.4 channel system.

Q: 10. Does this have a connection for a turntable?

A: Yes but the turntable would either need to have a built in preamp or it would need to already be connected to an external preamp.
