Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this adaptor work for both Nikon D200 as well as D780?

A: Yes, it is compatible with both cameras.

Q: 2. Is there an adapter for a Sony e mount lens to be used on an Olympus m4/3 camera?

A: Unfortunately, B&H does not carry an adapter that would enable one to mount an E-mount lens onto a micro four thirds camera, nor am I aware of one existing on the market. The Sony E-mount has a shorter flange focal distance (register) than the micro four thirds mount, so the Sony E-mount lenses are designed to sit closer to the sensor than the micro four thirds mount will allow. So, mounting an E-mount lens onto a micro four thirds body, the lens would lose infinity focus (the ability to focus on objects in the distance).

Q: 3. Will this connect my minolta lens to a nikon f3?

A: The Vello Minolta MD Lens to Nikon F-Mount Camera Lens Adapter will allow you to use Minolta MD manual focus lenses on the Nikon F3 SLR Film Camera.

Q: 4. Can i use this adapter to connect my collection of MD Rokkor lenses to my Nikon F?

A: Yes

Q: 5. Is this adapter has aperture control dial in order to use it with auto focus Minolta lenses?

A: This adapter does not control the lens in any way. Aperture would be controlled on the lens. Minolta MD lenses were not Auto Focus lenses.

Q: 6. will this work on a nikon d5100 please?

A: It works on my Nikon D300 which should be the same mount on your camera. However you will have to focus manually and adjust aperture on your lens as this this adapter does not have any electrical contacts to operate the lens. You also will not get all the exposure metadata you would get with an electronically connected lens.

Q: 7. I have 4 lenses that are from an old Minolta XE7 film camera. The first is a Nikkor -X 50mm f1.4 MC, an older Sgma 35-70mm f2.8 MD, a Vivitar 85-205mm f3.8 M/SR and a Vivitar 28mm f2.5 M/SR that I would like to use on my Nikon D7100. I realize it would be all manual. Would this adapter work for these lenses?

A: The FotodioX Adapter for Minolta MD lenses to Nikon F-mount bodies will allow any SR, MC, MD, or MD x-600 lens to work on your D7100. The only possible exception would be SR lenses made before 1961, as the aperture lever is shaped a bit differently. This may not necessarily rule out using the adapter, but it is something to consider, just in case you have any complications. Please keep in mind that there is a 1.4x conversion factor with this adapter (this allows for infinity focus capability to be retained). For example, a 35mm lens will look almost like 50mm (35mm x 1.4)You must use the lenses/adapter in aperture priority or manual mode.

Q: 8. will the adapter for minolta MD-Mount lens to Nikon F Mount Camera work will with Nikon 7000 on a sigma 600mm lens

A: If your Sigma 600mm lens is an MD mount, it can work well on a D7000, using this adapter. You will be able to focus manually, and the focal length will be multiplied by 1.4x. This may prove useful if you need the extra telephoto range. You will have to use stop-down mode in order to take advantage of in-camera metering.

Q: 9. How does one deal with the focus in the rangefinder using this adapter?

A: As the FotodioX Minolta MD/MC Pro Lens Adapter does not have electronic contacts, and does not transmit information from the lens to the camera, autofocus is not possible when using this adapter. You will have to focus manually when using a manual-focus Minolta MD/MC mount lens on a Leica M-mount camera.

Q: 10. does this adapter work for Minolta MC or SR mount also?

A: Yes it will.

very impressed with this flash, my first try at an external flash and it was so self explanatory and very easy to use. The flash dialed right into my camera.

I bought this product for the TTL feature and I use it on my Canon XT with great results. I had the slave fill flash from Sunpak before getting this flash and liked the performance of it but I wanted something that would work with my camera so I bought this and love it. The bounce feature was also a strong selling point for me because it not only moves up and down it also goes side to side. When looking at Canon flashes that have the same features this flash is a better value.

I tried a Speedlight 430 before buying this, and for what I do, this works just as good. It was a risk since I knew I liked the 430, but it just wasn't worth the extra $130. The mount on this isn't as good as the Canon, since you have to screw it down instead of locking it in, but that's the only downside.

I am really excited to use my new shoe mount flash. I did a ton of research prior to purchasing this model, and everything I read / researched indicated that this was a great product. The most common complaint was slow recycling, but realistically, this is a non-issue for most photographic scenarios.

I bought this for a Canon XSI and didn't want to spend a fortune. I'm using it in many different lighting situations--fill, night, bounce indoors. Worked right out of the box. The flip down diffuser worked wonderfully. I did think the whole thing (batteries and all) would be real heavy, it's not as bad as I had thought. All day use/carrying could be a tiring. I do wish the recycle time was shorter, but over all..a great little flash for the money.
