Styled in what the manufacturer has dubbed a "Producer Finish", and utilizing Class-D amplification, the Genelec 8020D Active Two-Way 4" Studio Monitor provides accurate reproduction of the source material in a compact form factor. Its MDE die-cast aluminum rounded shape minimizes frequency and reflection distortions caused by edge diffraction. The 19mm metal dome tweeter is surrounded by Genelec's Directivity Controlled Waveguide, which helps to create an even response when listening both on and off axis.
The 8020D is built with Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) technology, which automatically activates the speaker when an audio signal is detected and puts it in standby mode when no signal is present, reducing its energy consumption to less than 0.5W. The 8020D features a 50W high-frequency amplifier for its ¾" tweeter, and a 50W low-frequency amplifier for its 4" woofer. The bass response is expanded by a rear-facing reflex port, and a separately available Genelec subwoofer can be used to monitor a wider array of frequencies.

Q: 1. What is the diameter of the pole? I'm trying to find a stand to attach a tablet mount. The mount I'm looking at has an adjustable mic stand clamp (up to 1.2 /3.1 cm) that can be mounted on a vertical pole or horizontal boom. I want to leave the option for adding a light panel to the top, which is why I'm looking at a heavier duty stand.
A: the diameter is 0.79578 (I measured the circumference which is 2.5 and did the calculation for d.) I would not consider this stand heavy duty, however. The 3 legs fold out like a fan and are not very sturdy, especially if something were weighted to one side.
Q: 2. I don't know how to assemble this (Impact_FL1000_KI_Daylight_Floodlight_Kit). Is there an instruction sheet or diagram?
A: The Porcelain socket has a ring like a nut that you unscrew. You take that off slide the reflector on and then screw that part back on to keep the reflector securely attached to the socket. This is a link to a photo of the socket with the silver part (nut) you need to unscrew http://bit.ly/1LI32Dz.
Q: 3. Can this be pushed up against a wall - nearly flat?
A: Yes, but will not give a end-user the proper support needed to hold top heavy items. Always suggest spreading the footprint on stands for maximum support.
Q: 4. I have this light in my studio but i need to take it on a remote shoot with no electricity available. Should i get a little gas generator for power or is there a battery power supply i can buy? I have a large budget.
A: Yes, Photogenic makes a battery pack, click the link below to view; https://bhpho.to/3i9xGIm
Q: 5. Does the bottom spigot detach from the pole as shown in the picture? Mine appears stuck.
A: Yes, the spigot can be removed and attached to the threaded hole in the leg. Try a bit of force with pliers and cloth wrapped around the spigot.
Q: 6. Are there any bulbs included with this package? the product description seems to say they are there, but other sections say bulbs not included.
A: Yes, there are (2) EBW 500 watt bulbs included with this kit.
Q: 7. Anyone using this with the Westcott Eyelighter?
A: No I haven't I would think it would be to low and legs don't spread far enough to have good balance.
Q: 8. If you had two of these units and needed it to be taller than 3' could you take the extension from the 2nd unit and combine with the first to get it up to 6 feet?
A: No.
Q: 9. Can you use high speed sync with these?
A: No, the Photogenic PL1250C do not support High Speed Sync.
Q: 10. Can somebody tell me if this stand would hold an Alien Bee strobe or it's designed to be used with speed lights? If it does, does it feel secure, can I trust it? Thanks.
A: I have used it with a Dracast LED500 without any problem but if you need something really solid go for other option
