A: No - not in my opinion, not enough panel pixels and only 1080 aspect as well. Plus not a calibrated colourspace. I use this this on our small docu camera every week and it is fantastic at that but I also use the latest 4K Eizo grading monitors in post every week and I can only imagine the mess I would make trying to post off the focus monitor!

A: It will not. You would need the SmallHD FOCUS 5" Base HDMI On-Camera Monitor instead as the 5D Mark II only has an HDMI output, BH #SMMONFOCUSB.

Q: 7. Does it work when filming in 4K with the FS7 mk2 ?

A: The FS7 Mark II sends out a RAW 4K signal through SDI, which this monitor will not be able to process. You should however be able to film 4K internally and output HD through SDI for this monitor to see.

Q: 8. Does the shoe mount on the monitor side hand allow electornic signal?(can I use it to mount my flash or my sony mic that must be connected to my a7s II shoe mount(the mic doesnt have any cable, it only connect through the on camera shoe mount).

A: No its does not. It is just s mounting point. For external mics, flashes or any other accessory that doesnt require electronic signal. So unfortunately if you need to use a flash you would probably wanna get a cage or something so you can attach the monitor and the flash.

Q: 9. "SD card storage" is listed. Does it actually record video to this storage or are they simply slots to hold cards that are not in use?

A: This monitor does not record video. The SD card is for still image capture for reference purposes along with bringing in LUTs.

A: The country of origin for this Monitor would be the Unite States of America.

Great product, it was easy to apply, used the instructional video recommended and had no problems. It’s added great value to the iPad and pencil. You really feel the difference. Visual is very good, overall good experience 5

A little bit difficult to install (you need to be very careful), but otherwise it does what it promises. You have a sheet of paper instead of a glass. The physical feedback on your pencil is what makes all the difference. My script on iPad is now the same as on paper. I really recommend the product. 5
