Designed to match the quality of Sony's esteemed G Master series lenses, this 62mm T* Circular Polarizer Filter helps to cut reflections and glare in order to enhance color rendering and tonal saturation. By filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface, this filter better enables photographing through windows or water and also reduces haze and UV rays to suit general landscape shooting. This filter features a ZEISS T* anti-reflective coating to minimize surface reflections and glare between the filter and lens in order to maintain high contrast and color accuracy. Additionally, its slim profile lessens the likelihood of vignetting when used with wide-angle lenses.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this work with a sony alpha 7 III?

A: Yes, this lens will work with the A73, however, it is a cropped sensor lens and will reduce the resolution on your camera by about 40%.

Q: 2. Will this work with the SL1?

A: This lens has an EF-M so it will only work on Canon EOS mirrorless bodies such as the EOS M50. The Meike MK-6-11mm f/3.5 Fisheye Lens for Canon EF is compatible with the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 and its EF/EF-S mount. https://bhpho.to/36eSiKy

Q: 3. I have both a 200mm and 800mm Nikon lense that use the same drop-in 52mm Circular Polarizer Glass Filter. For $200 the filter should come with a practical case in which to store the clear glass filter, which must be temporally removed from the lens. The large plastic case the C-PL3L Polarizer comes in is nothing but a fragile shipping case. What can you recommend as a compact durable protective case?

A: This is the type I used for years on movie sets. B+W E1 Filter Pouch - Holds 1 B+W Filter up to 77mm B&H # BWFP77 . Here is one that is very soft. OP/TECH USA Soft Photo/Electronics Wide Body Pouch, Small (Black) B&H # OPPPWBSB. This one will hold three filters. Sensei Three Pocket Filter Pouch (Up to 77mm) B&H # SEFP3P77B. None of these I like that much because they do not completely seal. So I also suggest these Porta Brace bags. They may be too big but they zipper close unlike the others that allow dust in. Porta Brace Filter Pouch Set for up to 3 Circular Filters up to 4.5" B&H # POFILTERPOCH

Q: 4. Can this filter be used with Nikkor 180-400mm f/4?

A: Yes, this can be used with the AF-S NIKKOR 180-400mm f/4E TC1.4 FL ED VR lens.

Q: 5. do i need an adapter? because it fits but my camera doesn’t recognize it

A: It is a manual only lens. It will not communicate with the camera. On some cameras you have to set them to shoot with out a lens before they will fire.

Q: 6. Will this $512.95 filter come with a storage case/bag? It only fits into the $13,996.95 Z 400mm TC.

A: The Nikon C-PL460 Slip-In Circular Polarizer very new and in Pre-order. Nikon at this time does not list what it will come with. It is very possible they will include a case but they have not released that information yet.

Q: 7. Will the Nikon 2221 slip in filter work with the 400mm S lens?

A: No, the Nikon 40.5mm Drop-in Circular Polarizing Filter MFR 2221 ( https://bhpho.to/3J8jCvk ) is not compatible with the NIKKOR Z 400mm f/2.8 TC VR S lens. The Nikon C-PL460 Slip-In Circular Polarizer is compatible with the 400m S lens.

Q: 8. I’d like to acquire a 10 stop ND filter that would fit my Nikon drop-in 40.5mm filter unit? I understand that it doesn’t allow for me to add the ND to the Polarizer.

A: The Nikon 40.5mm Drop-in Circular Polarizing Filter for Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 400mm f/2.8E FL ED VR Lens has a built in filter which can not be removed.

Q: 9. Any idea if the filter itself can be removed or the housing is compatible with any threaded 46mm filter? Would be interested in using this with a solar filter during an eclipse. Thanks

A: The Nikon C-PL460 Slip-In Circular Polarizer filter cannot be removed.

Q: 10. If I mount this to a full frame film camera (Leica M6) with an adapter - will the image still be circular, or will it be distorted?

A: The image would be more distorted than fully circular, but you will be reducing the effective area used, so it will look more like distortion than a circular look.
