Designed for broadcast, film, and television production, the Lectrosonics DCHT is a wireless digital camera hop transmitter offering a reliable wireless connection between a bag- or cart-based audio system and cameras/recorders. This UHF transmitter tunes in coarse or fine increments from 470 to 607 MHz, and utilizes 256-bit encryption for secure signal transmission. With three selectable levels of RF power (10, 25, or 50mW) and a DSP-controlled input limiter, the DCHT delivers strong, clear, distortion-free audio.

Also contributing to its solid sonic performance is its preamplifier, which accommodates lavalier/dynamic mics or line-level inputs, and provides up to 51 dB of gain in 1 dB steps. The TA6M input jack accepts two channels of analog mic-/line-level signal or a stereo AES3 digital feed via an array of cable adapters (available separately).

The DCHT boasts up to five hours of battery life via two AA batteries (available separately) safely held in place by a latching aluminum battery door. External DC powering is possible through the LTBATELIM adapter (available separately). The DCHT's rugged housing is constructed from solid machined aluminum coated in an ultra-hard electroless nickel finish. A detachable wire belt clip allows the DCHT to be easily affixed for versatile positioning.

Tunes in coarse or fine steps across entire UHF frequency range from 470 to 607 MHz

256-bit encryption (AES 256-CTR) for applications with high-level security

Selectable RF power at 10, 25, or 50mW

TA6M jack accepts two mic- or line-level analog signals, or a 2-channel AES3 digital feed via a variety of adapter cables (available separately)

Analog inputs can be linked for identical gain when used with a stereo source, or operate independently with individual settings

Input gain is adjustable over a 51 dB range in 1 dB steps to allow an exact match to the input signal level, maximizing the dynamic range and signal-to-noise ratio

Accommodates lavalier microphones, dynamic microphones, or line-level signals

Side-panel USB port for easy firmware updates

Compatible with Duet M2R receiver

Third-generation digital architecture with high-efficiency digital circuitry yields extended operating time on two AA batteries (available separately)

May be powered via an external DC power supply using the Lectrosonics LTBATELIM adapter (available separately), which replaces the battery door and provides a locking coaxial connector

Programmable switch can be configured as a mute switch, a power on/off switch, or be bypassed

Red/green LEDs provide audio level indications from -20 dB to the onset of limiting for each channel

Solid machined aluminum housing finished with a dark, ultra-hard, electroless nickel finish

Secure stainless spring-wire belt clip is easily removed and attached without tools (alternative spring-loaded belt clip available separately)

Machined aluminum battery door is hinged to the housing, and latches securely to prevent accidental opening even if the DCHT is dropped

Set up and adjustments are easily accessible through a backlit LCD, membrane switches, and an intuitive menu structure

A: This supports up to 1000BASE-T.

Q: 6. How fast are file transfer for jpg and raw?

A: The transfer Speed-Up to 867 Mb/s with 802.11ac 2x2 MIMO Wi-Fi.

Q: 7. The description reads "It holds two LP-E6NH/LP-E6N/LP-E6 battery packs for effectively double the runtime." but on the Canon website it states "*Each of the batteries works independently, supplying power to the camera and Wireless File Transmitter separately." Does this mean that at all times the grip will only draw power from one battery during normal usage, or does it only split the power when it's actively using the wireless capability?

A: If only one battery is inserted into the chamber for the camera to the right of the magazine, the transmitter will not function. Two battery would be needed in order to run the camera and the transmitter at the same time, with each battery controlling individually.

Q: 8. If you shoot RAW+JPG, can you transfer just the .jpgs (for speed) while having RAW images on the card?

A: When using the Canon WFT-R10A Wireless File Transmitter for EOS R5 C & R5 Mirrorless Camera to transfer files, you can choose the type and size of file to transfer--JPEG Large, JPEG Small, etc.

Q: 9. is this the same physical size as the BG R 10, as I have an L Bracket from RRS that fits with the current battery grip?

A: According to Canon USA, they state the Canon WFT-R10A shares the same physical dimensions of the Canon BG-R10 battery grip. While they have not tested the Canon WFT-R10A on the Really Right Stuff EOS R5 and R6 with BG-R10 Vertical Battery Grip L-Plate, tit is possible the two items may be compatible with one another.

Q: 10. What is the difference between A1, A, and G? What should I use if I'm filming mainly in Los Angeles?

A: Sennheiser breaks up the legal frequency range for wireless microphones of 470-608 MHz into three blocks. I would recommend the A1 block for Los Angeles, which is 540-516 MHZ. But all of the three groups have 1680 frequencies, and the ability to auto scan to find a clean channel.

I use for outdoor adventure shooting and it is great. Having the ability to make the camera fully manual is invaluable when the light and setting constantly change. It takes a little while to get it figured out on how to adjust and shoot properly, but that is only because this camera can do it all. Defiantly read the instructions to get the most out the camera, it seem like there is a lot going on, and there is, but it is easy to take great manual photo with some practice.

thanks to this little camera my Dslr can stay home when I'm not headed to a wedding or client session. this little camera can kick out some amazing photos and the control you have over it is just like any Dslr although slightly different dials and buttons. if you're on the fence about buying this, just go for it. you won't regret it.

I got this to use when I don't want to have to pack around my heavy DSLR equipment but still want to be able to have more control over my shooting options. I've only used it a few times so far, but haven't noticed any major problems. The controls are a bit small compared to my Canon 50D but that's to be expected due to the smaller overall size and weight. Once I get more used to it, I shouldn't have to look at my fingers every time to make sure I'm pressing the right button.

Desiring higher ISO with reduced noise, I initially elected to replace my Canon G10 with a Nikon P7000, but sent it back and purchased a G12. A great move. I was able to compare images on both and found the G12 superior, especially:1. Color balance/processing2. Manual controls without scrolling through on-screen menus3. Faster focus & meteringWhile my G10 provided usable images at ISO 800, I've obtained usable images at ISO 3200 on the G12 with modest noise reduction software.I'm glad I elected to exchange the Nikon P7000 for the Canon G12. It is superior in several areas....

A compact, versatile camera that goes everywhere and takes amazing pictures. Lots of different effects can be accomplished with this camera. For everyday pictures it works great and has a large number of different profiles for sunset, aquariums, landscape, portraits, etc., etc. Has built in HDR and HD video. Makes me wonder why I bought a EOS 1D MkIV!
