Besides the original functions, the Tilt Lens Mount Adapter for Zuiko OM4/3-Mount Lens to Micro Four Thirds from KIPON provides a 360° free rotation and a 12° tilt. It provides an adapter with the flexibility to be adjusted accordingly to meet the needs of any situation while the tilt function enables you to highlight specific subjects in a photo.

On the right of the adapter a screw can be loosened to adjust the angle of the tilt. After adjustment, retighten the screw to lock the desired position into place. With this adapter, although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or any other functions will not work. You can shoot in manual mode with a Leica R mount camera.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I notice in the reviews there's a crop factor mentioned - is this the crop factor caused by using a 35mm measurement lens on the GH4 or is there a further crop due to the adapter use. If so how much? If I mount a 100mm lens what would the final crop be (ish)? Thanks

A: This particular adapter is fully mechanical, so any crop factor is going to be from the lens being used on the GH4. Since Micro Four Thirds cameras have a 2x crop factor, a 100mm lens will effectively act as a 200mm lens.

Q: 2. does this useful and helpful when i need to use my Canon 50mm 1.4 lens, and 18-55 EF-S sense, also 55-250mm EF-S sense on BlackMagic Pocket camera?

A: There are limitations. 1. You must focus the lens manually. 2. Importantly the lens aperture is not controllable, so you will be shooting wide open.

Q: 3. When using vintage lenses, is there some cropping going on ? Or does focal distance stays the same?

A: There will be a crop factor of 2x going from a 35mm SLR lens to a MFT digital sensor. All your lens will have an angle-of-view equivalent to double their focal length. For example, a 50mm lens will look approximately 100mm, a 35mm like a 70mm, etc.

Q: 4. Is it compatible with a panasonic gh4

A: The Vello EF/EF-S to micro four thirds adapter will allow you to mount Canon lenses on the GH4, yes.

Q: 5. Does this come with protective caps or a case when not in use ? also- I have a Rokinon 85 1.5 mm cine lens n a tokina 11- 16 mm from a canon 70d -wanted to use on my Pana gh4 - will I come across any problems ? I know I lose auto everything n manual iris - but can I still focus manually or does it become a prime lens having to move closer or back for the tokina lens?

A: The Vello adapter does not come with any case or caps--I was annoyed at that too. There is very little to this, it's literally just a physical metal adapter, no glass or anything, just a spring release switch. If your lens can iris/focus/zoom manually via rings on the lens then you won't have any problems. And the mount actually worked smoother than my metabones speed booster, so good job Vello on that...

Q: 6. So with this adaptor I would be able to connect not just canon lenses, but any lens that has an EF/EF-S Mount onto my GH4? Besides it having no communication with the camera, and no aperture ring, why is this product so cheap?

A: This is correct- any EF/EF-S lens can be used with this adapter. The fabrication cost of this adapter is very low, and the manufacturer is able to offer this product at a very reasonable price to reflect this and make an affordable product for consumers wishing to use this type of adapter.

Q: 7. What's the net weight of this adapter?

A: Around 65 grams

Q: 8. Will this adapter work with Canon EFS 18-135mm to MFT mount?

A: Yes, the Vello Canon EF/EF-S Lens to Micro Four Thirds Camera Lens Adapter would allow you to connect the Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lenses onto cameras that use the Micro Four Thirds lens mount. Do note there is no electronic communication between the camera and lens, so you would not be able to adjust the aperture of the lens or have autofocus, and EXIF data will not be sent from the lens to the camera.

Q: 9. Will anyone specifically tell if she used Canon EF-S 10-22 on bmpcc using Vello adapter with flying colours, so to say? i am dying to hear a definitive yes or big no and then move on. Till now the debate is ambivalent. i have the lense and i want to buy bmpcc and Vello adapter.devi

A: NO, but would suggest you get the Speedbooster rather than the Vello, have both and you can't beat the speedbooster

Q: 10. will this work with canon efs 18-55 lens

A: Yes, they are compatible.
