    Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How to I dispose of the working solution?

A: Although it is best to take photo chemicals to a facility where they can be properly disposed of, most normal chemicals used in processing are no worse than household cleaners that are normally put down our drains. (Bleach, 409, etc.) So use reason and common sense: if you process 200 rolls at a time, dispose of the chemicals properly. If you are doing 3-4 rolls every week or so, you shouldn't worry and pouring them down the sink is fine.

Q: 2. I today received 1L of this fixer from B & Xbut instead of experiencing joy, I am greatly distressed. At the bottom of the bottle there is a lot of sediment, which is impossible to dissolve. Is this a non-suitable solution? Can I use this solution for my film?

A: Yes it is hard to dissolve. But it will dissolve eventually. Just try to get it all out. I use this with many dozens of rolls with great results. Very gooed fixer.

Q: 3. Could this work with my Canon 6D, Panasonic GH4, or Sony A7sII on a Ronin M?

A: I recently purchased the DJI Follow Focus for use on a Ronin-M with Sony A7Sii. The camera is too 'small' with an attached 24-70mm lens and the camera has to be mounted as far as possible on the baseplate in order for the lens' focus ring to reach the follow focus motor. This makes the rig too front heavy without a way to properly balance it (without piecemealing a solution). I have yet to find a solution.

Q: 4. Hi! Can you fly with this can?

A: I dont think so. it's a under pressure product which not allow to carry to fly.

Q: 5. Why is this suddenly unavailable in the USA? Nobody is selling them anymore.

A: Unfortunately DJI has discontinued production of the Focus Wireless Follow Focus System. The latest version is DDJI Focus Handwheel.

Q: 6. After manifestation in PMK and fixation and washing for 25 minutes, the Tri-x 400 film turned out to be slightly brown. This is normal?

A: Yes. Pyro developers, like PMK, produce a colored stain on the image. This can be brown or yellowish depending on the film. That stain is why people use Pyro developers; it gives smoother tonal transitions, especially in highlight tones.

Q: 7. Will the motor work with the Ronin-S?

A: This controls the focus or iris of the lens mounted to your Inspire drone's Zenmuse X5 or X5R gimbal. This will not work with the Ronin-S. The Focus mounts via a Rosette. The Ronin-S does not offer a mounting option for the FOCUS.

Q: 8. Is this liquid supposed to look like milk?? I have received a bottle today and it is a milky white opaque liquid.

A: Yes, Photographers' Formulary TF-4 Archival Rapid Fixer is milky. Make sure before you add water and after that you mix it very well. After that it will clear.

Q: 9. Hi. I'm wondering if the motor can handle heavier and stiffer cine lenses? Or Is it made only for photo lenses?

A: Motor is a beast not problems...

Q: 10. DJI Chat said this would work with the X5s camera. But they didn't even know what the product was at first, and the literature lists only X5 and X5R. Any one know for a fact that it works with the X5s?

A: The DJI Follow Focus WILL work with the Inspire 2. You simply need to purchase the proper proprietary CAN Bus cable
