Q: 2. How do I get the output of Saffire MixControl be the input of google hangout on air or another software like Camtasia on a Mac?

A: Please e-mail this question to us at Audio@a href= http://BandH.com target= _blank BandH.com./a

Q: 3. Wow, this here is now mid-May the year 2017. This here is allegedly a SECOND GENERATION computer interface product. This here uses USB 2.0 to connect? With these many channels? You've gotta be kidding. Nobody at Focusrite had heard of USB 3.0 and USB 3.1, for cripe's sake?

A: Hi Frank,Thanks for your feedback. The bandwidth of USB 2.0 is more than enough for the amount of data being passed to the computer. The larger bandwidth achieved by USB 3.0 and 3.1 would be redundant, as USB 2.0 can comfortably handle the amount of data being sent, and the speed of this transfer is not improved with USB 3.0 or 3.1.Please see the below article for more information on this.https://a href= http://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/208095469-USB-2-0-vs-USB-3-0 target= _blank support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/208095469-USB-2-0-vs-USB-3-0/aBest regards,Laurence ClarkeFocusrite Customer Service

Q: 4. Does the Focusrite Control software allow you to customize delay on the outputs on the back of the unit? Im a livestreamer so I usually need to delay my audio by 110ms to sync it with video going into my switcher.

A: No, the Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 USB Audio/MIDI Interface does not offer the option to delay the audio sent through the outputs using the Focusrite Control software. Those options are typically provided as settings in the livestream software or as a plug-in for the software.

Q: 5. Will this work with vMix?

A: Some users have reported Vmix working with the Focusrite Scarlett 18i20, but there is no official driver support.

Q: 6. No reason it won't work with Adobe Audition... right?

A: The Focusrite Scarlett series interfaces work seamlessly with most DAW software. Adobe Audition should have no issues as well.

Q: 7. Is this a new or refurbished unit?

A: This is a brand new product. All products purchased at B&H are brand new in the original factory box including packaging, all factory included accessories and factory warranty, unless otherwise stated to be USED, Refurbished or Demo.

Q: 8. Are the preamps powerful enough for low input/gain hungry dynamic mics, like the Shure 7M7B? Planning on using this for a 3 or 4 mic podcast.

A: The Focusrite Scarlett 18i8's preamps are technically powerful enough for a dynamic microphone like SM7b or the RE20, but best results and the lowest noise floor will still be had with a mic activator such as the CL1 CloudLifter.

Q: 9. Could someone explain how they get 18 Inputs? At best I see 15, and 4 of those can only be used by 1-type of input or another on the front panel.

A: The optical input is ADAT. That counts as 8 inputs alone.

Q: 10. On Windows 8.1, do the different channels appear in separate devices or do they show up as separate channels on a single device?

A: Tim, These use a focusright scarlett software as a controller that displays all the channels in a single mixer style software consol. Regards,Rob
