The Bright Tangerine Drumstix 19mm Sterling Titanium Support Rod is suitable for mounting an EVF bracket or other single rod accessories to your rig without adding significant weight, something every owner, operator, assistant, and rental house will appreciate. This single 9" long support rod is extremely lightweight yet exhibits less flex than carbon fiber rods of the same length, and it is lighter than either steel or aluminum rods while being at least as rigid and strong. Made from titanium, the rod is corrosion resistant, and it is machined and ground flat to prevent binding as you mount accessories.

Each titanium rod is machined and ground flat to within a tolerance of 2 microns, which prevents accessories from binding when sliding on the rod. The strength, hardness, and machining tolerances of the rod eliminate the need for the time-honored tradition of spinning the support rod in the rod clamp when trying to build the camera package.

Each rod is extremely lightweight, making it well suited for use with drones or in handheld configurations.

The stiffness of each rod means you can confidently use it to support heavy lenses and matte boxes loaded with filters without worrying about the rod flexing.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this difficult to set up, adjust, or mount? Some customers mention there are no instructions included?

A: This is a fairly straight forward product that is easy to set up, adjust and mount cameras on.

Q: 2. would this item work with the kippertie rf to ef adapta too?

A: Yes, the Bright Tangerine Kippertie Revolva/Adapta RF-to-PL Lens Adapter Support for RED KOMODO is also compatible with the Kippertie RF to EF Adapter.

Q: 3. Can the aperture be set with the camera like the other Nikon tilt-shift lenses?

A: Yes, it can, just use A mode on the camera.

Q: 4. No hood available from Nikon, is one not needed? How bad is glare and reduced contrast when key light is in front/side of camera? Note front glass bulbs out. Nano coating can only do so much, no? Any success in using flags in lieu of a hood? Or is lack of a hood not a concern with this lens?

A: There is a good reason why there are no hoods for very wide lenses; to wit, a hood that actually protects the lens from flare is also visible in the frame. My rule of thumb to make sure no light is flaring or causing ghosts on my lens is this: From moderately wide to tele lens length, I use lens hoods, or matte boxes or adjustable sunshades on the camera to block the spurious light. However, on very wide lenses, the flare has to be flagged at the light source that is causing the problem. Even outside and it is the sun hitting the lens, use a grip flag on a stand to stop the direct light of the sun. Do not have such equipment? Then have a friend hold any rectangular object so the the flare from the sun is blocked. How to know it is working? Make sure the shadow of the flag covers the front element of the lens. Nikkor lenses are among the finest in the world. The lens coatings on this lens are no less than that. You can be sure that for all but the most direct specular light rays, light hitting this lens will be flare and ghost free.

Q: 5. when this lens will be available to buy?

A: Unfortunately, we do not have an estimated arrival date for the Nikon PC NIKKOR 19mm f/4E ED Tilt-Shift Lens at this time. If you havent already, you could choose the Request Stock Alert option on the lenss page on our site. We would then send you an email when the lens came into stock. That being said, we are accepting preorders on the lens at this time.

Q: 6. Will this lens work on the Z6 (with adapter)?

A: Yes.

Q: 7. will this fit a century xtreme fisheye for the hvx200a?

A: This unit is very adjustable and should provide whatever support you need for the camcorder and lens.

Q: 8. Are there any limitations in using the lens on the Nikon d850?

A: I asked Nikon technical support the same question. Their reply: there are no horizontal or vertical shift limitations when using the Nikkor 19mm PCE lens on a D850.

Q: 9. Does this monitor show the battery life remaining?

A: The PORTKEYS HS8 8" 3G-SDI 4K HDMI/3G-SDI High-Bright Monitor with 3D LUT Support has a monitor battery level indicator.

Q: 10. is the jaw clamp in this kit the same as the pipe grab clamp sold separately? how much weight can the rod support?

A: Yes, the iFootage Pipe Grab Clamp is present in the iFootage SA-32 Telescoping Support Rod with Jaw Clamp for Spider Crabs System. The iFootage SA-32 Telescoping Support Rod with Jaw Clamp for Spider Crabs System can support about a 15lb payload.

My main reason for selecting this tripod was the weight capacity of the ball head. It is capable of holding a Nikon 800E with 70-200 lens and yet is light enough to take on a hike. The feature that allows use as a monopod is also a great asset. I have had no issues with extended legs slipping as with similar tripods often experience. Construction quality is excellent. Highly recommended.

I was looking for a more compact tripod to use when hiking or in the field that would be similar to my Manfrotto 055 w/Arca-Swiss head. This fit the bill perfectly. The head unit, though smaller, is very controllable and locks like a vault. My Arca-Swiss plates work with it perfectly. Leg adjustments are easy and, again, very solid. The entire unit folds down and is easily carried on a back pack. It has stood up to the knocks and dings that happen when hiking like a champ. For me, the monopod option is superfluous. I just don't shoot that way. So far I love this little unit. I've had my 055 set for almost 20 years. I believe this one will last as long. It is certainly built robustly enough to do so even with the abuse I lay on equipment. So far this has been my best purchase of 2013.

This is not my only tripod and I purchased this for a number of reasons, one of which was it's size! I often times travel on my motorcycle and the fact that this will pack up to about only 16 inches with a head really made this appealing. I was concerned about the 5 section legs for stability and had that put to rest this week when I went to photograph elk, I had my 1D and 500mm on my Gitzo tripod and my 5D MkII and the 100-400mm on the MeFoto! The MeFoto proved to be plenty sturdy and had no problem with the weight! This is a GREAT buy especially for the price!

I like this better than other travel tripods I have tried. Price is an object for me and so are features. I tried the (S) model MeFOTO Globetrotter and it was terrible. Returned it for the classic MeFOTTO, it is much better and taller. It is not the lightest travel tripod around but I am not the lightest traveler either. It does have better grips, better head, (for some reason) and it is sturdy...what else can I ask for. My camera and lens weigh less than three pounds so this is perfect for me.
