The Bright Tangerine Drumstix 15mm Sterling Titanium Support Rod is suitable for mounting an EVF bracket or other single rod accessories to your rig without adding significant weight, something every owner, operator, assistant, and rental house will appreciate. This single 6" long support rod is extremely lightweight yet exhibits less flex than carbon fiber rods of the same length, and it is lighter than either steel or aluminum rods while being at least as rigid and strong. Made from titanium, the rod is corrosion resistant, and it is machined and ground flat to prevent binding as you mount accessories.

Each titanium rod is machined and ground flat to within a tolerance of 2 microns, which prevents accessories from binding when sliding on the rod. The strength, hardness, and machining tolerances of the rod eliminate the need for the time-honored tradition of spinning the support rod in the rod clamp when trying to build the camera package.

Each rod is extremely lightweight, making it well suited for use with drones or in handheld configurations.

The stiffness of each rod means you can confidently use it to support heavy lenses and matte boxes loaded with filters without worrying about the rod flexing.

Big time wow. I wish everything I've purchased for my photography and filmmaking needs had the kind of value this piece of equipment has. I originally purchased it because it looked like a great compromise of weight and stability for long time exposure photos I take when camping in the desert, and that it certainly is. It's heavier than the carbon fibre version, but I wanted that extra pound and a half or whatever it is, so I don't mind packing it. But the big surprise came when I thought to take off the ball head and throw on a cheap but decent fluid head for video (I used the Fancier FT-717AH, it's what most people get for their sliders). With this combo, I can easily support my C100 with a 17-55 lens on it, and it's totally stable. I can put the camera in a backpack, put the tripod/fluid head combo in the underseat storage of my Vespa, and go anywhere in town with a pretty amazing little setup. I don't think I'd rig it up with rails and lots of other gear, but why would I... I've got a heavy duty setup for that. In short, the build quality of this is really satisfying, and it's going to get used a lot for both photo and video. I don't see how it could be any better without moving to a similar Gitzo at 2 or 3 times the price, and I'm not sure you'd get that much better of a tripod. Forget the comparable Manfroto. For a little over $$, this is one of the best made objects I own. 5

Great travel tripod. Solid enough to support a 5D with a 70-200 and compact enough to fit in a backpack or carry-on suitcase. If you want lightweight order the more expensive one and save about a pound. Comes with a nice case. 5

This is a great tripod. It is a bit on the heavy side but it is very steady and will hold a very large lens and gimbal set up. 5

I bought 2 of these to support my Atlas 10 5' slider - on on each end. The tripods are light enough to move my slider around place to place without having to disassemble the setup. The quick release ballhead allows me to quickly and easily attach and detach the slider from the tripods. 5

I was worried when I placed this order that what I would get, would not be what I was looking for. I am glad to say that going with the GlobeTrotter has really fixed a need I had. The MeFoto GlobeTrotter is very sturdy and a breeze to set up. I love how small it folds to for travel and the quality case. I shoot some video and a lot of stills and now I have a tripod that I can take with me to function as a tripod or monopod when needed. No longer do I find myself having to carry two different items to stabilize one camera. The Titanium version is a little heavy but worth the extra weight for the lower price than the carbon fiber version. 5

Quality, Price, weight, compactness, design, durability and usability. There is one other lesser known competitor, Sirui. It looks very similar but other than that, this MeFoto unit works GREAT.
