The black MuxLab Broadcast 6G-SDI 4K Extender allows extending Full HD and 4K video signals from sources (including cameras) with SDI outputs up to 330' using a CAT5e/6 cable. Featuring automatic SDI link recognition, the transmitter automatically enables long-reach mode (up to 500') when HD signal is detected. The transmitter features four BNC SDI inputs that accept a single 6G (up to 4K) using one coaxial cable, dual 3G (up to Full HD) using two coaxial cables, or quad HD inputs using four coaxial cables (not included). The transmitter connects to the receiver using a CAT5e/6 cable. The receiver, featuring 4 SDI outputs, needs to be powered using the included 48 VDC power supply. The transmitter is powered by the receiver through the CAT5e/6 cable. The Broadcast 6G-SDI 4K Extender is suitable for cinema recording, movie making, studio production, news coverage, and live reporting.

A: The ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K switcher does not output scopes. To monitor the switcher output with the scopes, you could send the ATEM's output to the SmartScope Duo 4K.

Q: 2. Does this works with sdi 12

A: Work with 3G 6G 12G work with any SDI cable but for 12G you will not get the 12G resolution or quality. I do not have any problem with the connection.

Q: 3. sdi 4k to hd 1920 monitor?

A: The HDMI output will downconvert UDH to HD on an HD monitor

Q: 4. Looking to monitor 4k raw footage from bmpc to ikan d7 monitor. Will this do the trick even if the Ikan's max res is FullHD 1280?

A: If your Ikan d7 has an HDMI input then yes it will. It works great. The big down side is there is no way to mount it to anything, ie a 1/4 20 thread, and the need to power it. If you choose to power it over D-tap the power cable can run you $60. Looking back I wish I would of purchased a Wooden Camera C-box instead.

Q: 6. Can a non 4k mini converter be used with a black magic 4k switcher? I'm not running the switcher at 4k quality, i.e. Black magic 1me 4k sending 1080i sdi to black magic sdi to analog mini converter (non 4k).

A: As long as you set the switcher to all inputs 1080i there should be no problem.

Q: 7. I want to connect a Blackmagic 4K Camera to a Blackmagic ATEM HD. Does this help me downsizing so the ATEM recognize it?

A: According to the lil i know, yes it can downscale. You can set it on ur pc, you can downscale from 4k to 1080

Q: 8. Where do you get extra receivers without having to buy extra transmitters? Is there a link for that?

A: Unfortunately Muxlab only sells the MuxLab HDMI Wireless Extender Kit. They do not offer a receiver only option. At this time you would have to purchase the kit to add more wireless receivers.

Q: 9. Does this item have FCC approval?

A: Only the power supply has a UL listing, I could not find any FCC claims. Though, it is shielded and it does not transmit or Receive RF over the air. Have not had any issues with these converters.

Q: 10. Does this strip the HDR flag?
