The RE3-RX5L Diversity Wireless Receiver from Electro-Voice is a UHF wireless diversity receiver featuring clear frequency scanning, wireless synchronization to transmitter, balanced XLR outputs, and unbalanced 1/4" TRS outputs. It can be used when paired with any RE3 HHT handheld capsule or bodypack transmitter and microphone (sold separately) to deliver rock-solid system performance for presentation or interview audio applications.
The RE3-RX is rack-mountable, and the 1/2 space diversity receiver is designed to function as the control center for your wireless setup. Using clear frequency scan and sync functions, the receiver offers control settings that synchronize to a mated transmitter. Diversity reception technology minimizes the chance of signal dropouts and provides two different antenna locations. The antennas switch moment by moment based on signal strength and stability, which insures solid performance.
Additionally, the easy-to-read LCD display provides vivid viewing of all menus and operating parameters.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. If I wanted to use 4 units with a multi channel recorder can I do that? do they have multiple channels?
A: We would not advise using 4 sets of these in one location.
Q: 2. Wireless technology is Analog UHF or digital 2.4?
A: The Pixel Voical Lark 2-Person Wireless Microphone System for DSLR Cameras and Smartphones operates on the UHF frequency band of 590 to 610 MHz.
Q: 3. how long does the battery last?
A: I use Eneloop pro batteries and i have been working with them over 5 hours
Q: 4. For me it is imperative that I can use this device with an iPhone 6 or an iPad. Is it compatible?
A: At this time I have been unable to connect the bluetooth mic directly with a PC or tablet. The only way to connect it that I know of is the analogue mic input on the tablet.
Q: 5. are the batteries replaceable?
A: No, these have built in batteries.
Q: 6. can i plug in a lavalier mic for better quality recording? I'm concern that if my subject wears this on his belt then the sound quality might be compromised
A: Yes, you can plug a lavalier for better sound.
Q: 7. Can I use any mic with this like a tram, sanken, DPA?
A: Yes, it is possible to use different microphones with the Comica Audio BoomX-U QUA Ultracompact 4-Person Wireless Microphone System for Mirrorless/DSLR Cameras as long as the microphone has the appropriate 3.5mm TRS locking connector and wiring, and does not require more voltage than the transmitter is able to supply. The Tram TR-50 and Sanken COS-11D Lavalier Microphones that are wired for compatibility with Sennheiser transmitters should both work, and certain DPA models may also work with the Comica transmitters, depending on their voltage requirements.
Q: 8. Is the BoomX-U better than BoomX-D?
A: The two systems are similar in that both are wireless microphone systems, but each operates in a different manner. Determining which system is better will depend on your specific needs and the types of strong wireless audio frequencies that are already in use within the location where the system will be used often. The BoomX-U is an analog wireless system which operates within the UHF frequency band between 568 to 579 MHz and offers 48 frequencies to choose from to avoid wireless signal interference. It has an operating range of up to 394'. The built-in rechargeable batteries for the UHF system provide up to 6 hours of operation. The BoomX-D is a digital wireless system which operates within the 2.4 GHz band (2400 to 2483.5 MHz) above the range of radio and TV, but within the range of Wi-Fi signal. Only one other wireless BoomX-D can be used at the same time. It has an operating range of up to 164' and its built-in rechargeable batteries provide up to 5 hours of operation. The advantage of a 2.4 GHz systems is that they can be used in most countries around the world while regulations for UHF frequencies vary. Within the US, the UHF system offers more frequencies to switch between, the ability to use more of the same wireless mic systems, and a longer operating distance between the transmitter and receiver. Q: 9. Can the gain of each microphone be adjusted independently?
A: Yes, each mic has it's own gain adjustment.
Q: 10. I bought a Sony ECM-AW4 Bluetooth Wireless Microphone System for my Alpha 6300. It only worked intermittently. The camera sometimes did not recognize the microphone or give it power. Or the blue tooth connection failed. When it worked it was fine. Did anyone have this experience and find a way around it?
A: I had the same issue, specifically with my Samsung smart phone. It also failed at times, after a few months with both my camera system and iphone/ipads. I would not recommend this system.
