Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the lightning connector fit with iPhone 12 Pro Max with moment case

A: It depends on the design of the case and how much space it provides around the Lightning port to allow the Lightning connector on the wireless receiver from the Saramonic Blink 500 Pro B3 Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System for Lightning iOS Devices. if there is not enough space to allow the receiver to rest flush against the iPhone, then you would need to take the iPhone out of the case in order to properly connect the receiver.

Q: 2. Can this be used on a PC with regular USB-A ports?

A: Yes, the Hollyland LARK M2 DUO 2-Person Wireless Combo Microphone System (2.4 GHz, Shine Charcoal) can be connected to a PC with a USB-A port. You will just need to use the USB-C receiver with a USB-C to USB-A cable, like the one included with the wireless system, in order to do so.

Q: 3. I tried this unit indoors within office buildings and at conferences and in both settings the audio would sometimes cut out and be unusable. Has anyone else experienced this? Since the 2.4 ghz spectrum is fairly crowded and there is nothing to configure on these I'm assuming I need to look at a better system.

A: As you mention, the Saramonic Blink 500 Pro B2 2-Person Digital Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System operates on a relatively crowded 2.4GHz spectrum (shared with WiFi) and can be limited in its operation in some frequency-intense scenarios. Bodies in between transmitter and receiver as well as certain building materials are also classic inhibitors to the function of many wireless systems.

Q: 4. I have the thumb wheel set. Will this controller only set up match with the unit I have now? Or do I need to purchase something else as well?

A: Hi LucasThanks for your question. If you have a microRemote fingerwheel system including basestation and motor, then you only need to purchase this hand unit and it will work correctly to provide wireless remote focus. You just need to ensure the basestation and the hand unit are on the same channel. if you have any additional questions on how to use please contact us at support@redrockmicro.comthanks!

Q: 5. Are we to understand that this can be used with any synth/music app or just Yamaha apps? I have seen nothing, ANYWHERE, to imply that it would...

A: I could not get this device nor its USB companion device to work on any of my keyboards including a Yamaha PSR-S900

Q: 6. can this be bought with barrel mic instead of the LAV?

A: This kit currently only comes with a lav.

Q: 7. Can this device be used with android?

A: No, Yamaha only has iOS support for the MD-BT01. You may want to check out the apps on AppStore that support it before purchase. It is not as universal as standard MIDI over USB.

Q: 8. What is the difference between this remote and the older style?

A: For help comparing two specific products feel free to email us directly with links to both products at askbh@bhphoto.com. We should be better able to assist you from there.

Q: 9. My Sony ZV1 has a hum in the audio when I use this system. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?

A: Hum is almost always caused by a faulty ground or poor connection. Herea are several possible explanations/solutions for you to try: 1. It could just be a bad input cable. If the shield is broken internally, you'll experience hum. Try replacing the cable or test it on a different device. 2. You may be using the wrong input cable. The Blink 500 Pro B2 system has a LOT of cables, and there are two different ones that look very similar. The TRS cable has two narrow black bands on its metal tip while the TRRS one, which has three bands. Since the ZV1 uses an unbalance stereo input, be sure you are connecting the receiver to the camera using the TRS cable.

Q: 10. Can you detach the lav from the clip? Useful if you want to fit the mic on the left or right side of a jacket

A: Yes, you can remove the clip from the lavalier microphone.

This is a great lens to add to your gear, the range is awesome and with macro those far closeups are easily done with great results, this is a replcement to a 70-210 that I broke, now I can go to 300 with macro... Score...!!!

Added a lot of range to what I can take pictures of. The 'macro' feature is 1:2 so not true macro but still decent. Love using this to take pictures of the moon or of animals from a decent ways away.

I bought the lens based on reviews I read, I 've been very happy with the performance of the lens, I'm still getting to learn to use it but it's been easy to learn to use it.

I use Nikkor glass, but I tried this lens because of price and features. I was shocked by the color and sharpness of my photos, this may become my favorite lens.

The Tamron 70-300mm telephoto is just what I needed in my camera bag. Great quality, it is light weight, and the price was half other brands with same quality. A good buy on my part.

We are very happy with our purchase. The lens has the focus motor in it making it a great addition to the basic lens purchased with our Nikon D3000. It takes excellent pictures and gives us the additional zoom capability we were looking for. We use the lens for personal photography including our child and nature images. So far we are really happy with the lens.... We will definitely go to B&H when we are ready to purchase additional items for our camera.

I have used this lens on a beach photo shoot (so I dont have to get my feet wet) and this lens OUTPERFORMED my expectations. It's performed average shooting the runway fashion show so not so great with moving indoor subjects because of the blah low light capabilities. In that case you'd need to bump up the iso and fix in post. If you intend to shoot subjects at the long end, a tripod is needed because it doesn't have vibration compensation. Thus bumping back up the iso past 3200 to use a shutter speed needed to freeze frame without blur. For outdoor, bright day shooting...this lens is GREAT. For less than bright days, you need a on camera flash (with the specs of the Yungnou 565ex or better) because a pop up flash just will not work. You WILL need the 62mm filter. The front glass draws dust like a magnet. Plus it will protect the lens froin damage (and accidental fingerprints) This lens is a SOLID performer. It makes me reconsider if I want the 70-200 2.8 (bigger size wise, heavier, and way more expensive) but being a fashion photographer who needs the low light performance (can't use a flash at Fashion Week shows..a no-no) I still have to make that purchase even though I get more focal length with this lens (100mm more) that's $800 cheaper.
