The RE3-RX5H Diversity Wireless Receiver from Electro-Voice is a UHF wireless diversity receiver featuring clear frequency scanning, wireless synchronization to transmitter, balanced XLR outputs, and unbalanced 1/4" TRS outputs. It can be used when paired with any RE3 HHT handheld capsule or bodypack transmitter and microphone (sold separately) to deliver rock-solid system performance for presentation or interview audio applications.

The RE3-RX is rack-mountable, and the 1/2 space diversity receiver is designed to function as the control center for your wireless setup. Using clear frequency scan and sync functions, the receiver offers control settings that synchronize to a mated transmitter. Diversity reception technology minimizes the chance of signal dropouts and provides two different antenna locations. The antennas switch moment by moment based on signal strength and stability, which insures solid performance.

Additionally, the easy-to-read LCD display provides vivid viewing of all menus and operating parameters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this kit output stereo (opposed to summed mono) from the receiver to the camera?

A: If you are using both transmitters one will be send of the left side the other will run the right side and both will combine and give you one stereo track into your camera

Q: 2. Can I connect to a Godox X1T?

A: The built in receiver of the YN560 IV is not compatible with the Godox X1T. The following transmitters would be fully compatible with the YN560 IV: https://bhpho.to/2UToNMh

Q: 3. Is this flash compatible with the LUMIX S5?

A: This is a universal flash unit. It will connect on the camera hot shoe center pin and allow you to trigger the flash when the camera shutter is press. Please keep in mind that you need to set up the flash exposure manually.

Q: 4. Is compatible with Yongnuo YN-E3-RT II ? thanks

A: The Yongnuo YN560-IV Speedlite, B&H # YOYN560IV, is not directly compatible for use with the Yongnuo YN-E3-RT (or the new Yongnuo YN-E3-RT II) Wireless Speedlite Transmitter. To use the flash with these transmitters, you would have to separately purchase the Yongnuo YNE3-RX Wireless Flash Receiver for Canon Speedlites and Yongnuo Flash and Transmitters, B&H # YOYNE3RX. Do note that as the Yongnuo YN560-IV Speedlite is a fully manual flash, it would only trigger using the above setup, and would not allow you to wirelessly control the flash output from the transmitter; you have to set the flash output manually on the flash itself, but the above setup would trigger your flash wirelessly.

Q: 5. To connect this with my sony a7S ii i have to by an additional transmitter or it comes with it?

A: the YN560 IV has a built in transmitter and receiver. It is a manual power adjustment only flash. If you want to use it off camera and remotely adjust power you will need either another YN560 IV or Yongnuo YN560-TX II Manual Flash Controller. Yongnuo makes them for Nikon and Canon. You can pick either one but will not get all the features that the dedicated units provide for the specific brands. For example, no remote zoom control. Also, the Sony multi-interface flash shoe is not exactly the same as the Canon and Nikon designs and proper alignment is sometimes difficult. Consider Godox TT600 Thinklite Flash for Sony Cameras and Godox X1T-S TTL Wireless Flash Trigger Transmitter for Sony as an alternative. These units offer same remote features but fit the Sony shoe properly.

Q: 6. will this flash work on a panasonic fz1000?

A: Yes, this flash will be compatible with the Panasonic FZ1000, as it is a fully manual flash.

Q: 7. does it communicate and work with yn622n transmitter?

A: Yes the Yongnuo YN560-IV Speedlite will work with the Yongnuo YN622N i-TTL as they both use the Yongnuo 2.4 GHz wireless radio system.

Q: 8. What cable works with the Nissin DI 700A?

A: There are a few factors to consider, including camera being used. Please email us at photo@a href= http://bhphoto.com target= _blank bhphoto.com/a so that we can properly assist you with your inquiry.

Q: 9. does flash work with sony a200 camera?

A: The Yongnuo YN560-IV Speedlite is designed for cameras that use the standard ISO hot shoe, whereas the Sony Alpha DSLR-A200 DSLR Camera uses the proprietary Sony/Minolta Auto-Lock hot shoe design. As such, you would need a hot shoe adapter such as the Sony Auto-Lock Shoe Adapter, B&H # SOADPAMA, to connect the Yongnuo YN560-IV Speedlite to the Sony Alpha a200 DSLR camera. Do note this is a fully manual flash, so you will have to set the flash output manually on the back of the flash.

Q: 10. Is this compatible with fuji x s10 ?

A: Yes it works on the Fuji XS10 in manual exposure mode only.

I was looking into getting another flash for my wedding receptions and I have been so pleased with my first one I purchased I came back and bought a second one! If I decided a third light source is needed I will be back for this one. I love how they link too when all on the same channel.

I'd been using this cheap flashes for years and never let me down! I you prefer using your flashes in manual mode you won't get a better flash for this price :)

This is the first flash I've purchased, so I don't have much reference experience. But it does the job, and does so well. It doesn't adjust the output automatically, so you have to set the brightness manually, which isn't a problem for me, but for the price it's absolutely unbeatable.

I've just bought a few of these to replace my Nissin Di622 II speedlights, and I don't know why I didn't make the switch sooner. They're more powerful, give me much more control, for a fraction of the price. I shoot Sony (a99 & a77), and the 560 IV, paired with the YN560-TX for Canon work flawlessly. If you shoot Sony and you're ok working manual, buy this light. Buy a few of them.

I sold all of my Canon flashes a while back, soon after retiring from pro photography. I recently needed a fully capable flash for taking real estate pics of my brother's co-op and selected the Yongnuo on the basis of price and user reviews. Well, it more then lived up to its stellar reputation. It performed flawlessly with my Pentax K-30 and is at least the equal of the Canon 580s that I sold, maybe better. The built-in PC connection is invaluable. The flash controls are intuitively laid out, and the rear LCD is bright and clear. Build quality is surprisingly good for a flash at this price or even double the price. Durability is something I can't comment on since I've only used it once so far, but it feels hefty and solid. Nothing flexes or feels flimsy. I'm impressed!

I found the fit and finish of the Yongnuo YN560 IV Speedlight to be top notch. It feels solid and well built, and has all the features needed for basic flash photography, at a great price point. The fact that it has a built in Master circuit, allowing you to control the power output and zoom ratio separately of up to 3 groups of flashes, is icing on the cake. I also like that it has a PC sync input, something a lot of more expensive flashes don't have. If you're interested in saving some money, and can live with a fully manual flash, this one is definitely worth a look.
