As long as you're normally, able or wiling to shoot in manual mode, this flash will deliver all of the characteristics and abilities of the more expensive Canon flashes at a fraction of the cost (under $ vs over $).Most of the features are nearly identical to the Canon flashes that the YN560-IV is competing against, and at this price point, you can invest in several flashes as well as a controller (if that's the direction you're going). If you're getting into photography and want a feature rich/low cost tool to help you learn the craft without breaking the bank, this is the flash for you!In my opinion, learning to shoot in manual mode (camera and flash) is the best way to truly enjoy the creative opportunities that photography can provide you...

Great flash for the price and I find it interesting how it is a strictly manual flash, great all around and look forward to shooting with it for many years!

As a semi retired pro photographer I can't spend the huge money for gear anymore. The Yong Nuo line of speedlites, triggers etc fit the price and quality I need to still get awesome images.

The new yn560-IV is a great value. I have one Nikon SB-900 with the yongnuo Nikon ttl off camera trigger set ($80), 1 560-III, 3 560-IV, and one 560-TX on camera trigger controller. These all work together great. The new feature about the 560-IV is that it can act as a 560-TX on camera trigger controller. All the yongnuo gear cost less than the SB-900. I find that one ttl off or on camera flash is all I need for run and gun shooting, but in studio the yongnuo set up with the 560-TX controlling all the flashes in manual mode(including the SB-900) is a great combination.

their first generation model (few years ago) was ok but not as good as brand named speedlight.i went ahead and decide to give a second try on their newest model to see how they evolved from the first model.omg.. now this is clearly an evolution. i can garantee you that are going to be smilingafter seeing this.their new flash is well built, it works flawlessly indoor. i have one in a softbox triggered by the 560 tx and its just work perfectly for hours session without any issue.no need to spend thousands of dollars anymore. you can do pretty much everything with a fraction of pro equipments.im a strobist photographer too and you need a couple of potrtable flash to over power a full framed sun . a couple a brand name cost over a grand.. a couple of yongnuo means less than $ bucks.. so you save $ bucks when buying two !! .yes it is made in china but so are most of the brand names out there. and trust me. its not too good to be true because it is good. buy one buy two buy 3 if neceesary. the more you buy the more you save in long term anyway.if you are in ttl or hss get their higher model. not the 560. 560 is manual.. but works remotlyand yes i use professional gear too..
