Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do they make a Baby version of this?

A: The only grip head that is somewhat like that one but is a baby is this one, Avenger D240 Swivel Grip Head, B&H # AVD240 MFR # D240. But it is a swivel Grip head. There are adapters you can use but it depends on what part you need to be baby. Best is to continue this in chat or give us a call if you want additional information.

Q: 2. Hi, will this work with QT600??

A: Yes. The following tube will support both models.

Q: 3. I can use it with godox 600 digpioneer?

A: The following unit is designed and made for the QS600II Flash Head from Godox.

Q: 4. What size diameter is the pin?

A: The mounting pin is a standard Junior pin, 1-1/8".

Q: 5. Are the turtle bases and stands from Matthews, Avenger, etc. all interchangeable from one brand to another? I already have Avenger and wonder whether I should stay with that brand, so that I don't have to bother matching Avenger bases with Avenger stands as opposed to Matthews stands.

A: I believe American and Matthews are interchangeable but Avenger is Metric so I am not sure.

Q: 6. In the specs it says, this has a detachable base AND a levelling leg. I thought, only turtle base C-stands have a detachable base/riser. Can you positively confirm that this specific version actually features BOTH? (as opposed to Kupo #KS704011) Thank you!

A: Yes. The unit offers the two following features detachable base leveling leg

Q: 7. Is the junior receiver (Female) directly above the mounting pin, or is it offset like the avenger and kupo 4.5 grip heads?

A: It is offset so the gobo will work properly. I like to use two stacked on top of each other. One to hold a silk and the other a negative for OTFs in full sun.

Q: 8. The image does not show the rubber cover on the grip handle. Does the Avenger D200 include the rubber cover on the T-handle?

A: The blue rubber handle cover is included with the D200B, despite it not being pictured.

Q: 9. Can I use this flash tube for the Photoflex FlexFlash 400Ws Strobe?

A: The Godox 400Ws Flash Tube for SK400II Flash Head BH #GOFTSK400II is not suitable for a Photoflex flash.

Q: 10. Will this work for the QT600II?

A: Yes.

Ive used all the brands of grip heads, the Kupo is the most comfortable by far to torque down. Has great versatility on all the various jaw openings.

I own a 1-ton grip truck and have almost all Matthews grip equipment. Some of my older Matthews grip heads started to wear out from years of use and started slipping. I decided to try out the Kupo heads because I was impressed with their 3-way grip mount which is an ingenious design. These heads are no different... they are great (so far)! Heavy duty, high quality and can seemingly take a beating. I'm sure they will last probably as long as the Matthews heads did but, having the large grip handle is very convenient and makes tightening and loosening the head much easier/quicker/stronger.

I prefer the Kupo handles to other brands. Very easy to use.

Solid construction not sure if heavier than others but the handle is super nice big and curved to really crank down easily Handle is a better mousetrap But it is also larger if your trying to fit them in the bag your used to carrying they might take up a little more space And made in China of course. Maybe mangrotto will take notice and redo the handle on theirs

Easy to use, but like another reviewer has mentioned, keep a screw driver handy to pry it apart if necessary. I use it to hold a 40 inch grip arm. No complaints.

Works very well for attaching equipment to the top of a light stand, or any other 5/8 baby pin. Professional quality. Should last a very long time.
