A: The device autorecords audio at two levels automatically. So you can pick which file to use after. I guess it somewhat eliminates the need for level control (as long as it's recording).

Q: 2. Are there any adapters that can be used to make this work with an Olympus WS-852 recorder?

A: Unfortunately not. The Olympus WS-852 has one 3.5mm mic input. Due to the locking collar on the lav's connector it is very unlikely that it will make contact as the recorder would need to have the same connector.

A: Item# TATM10LB is the black version. As far as I know, Tascam is using the same wiring configuration as Sennheiser. That being said, there is no way to guarantee compatibility with the Sennheiser wireless transmitters.

A: This is powered by the smart phone. It is not compatible with DSLR cameras. It is compatible with Mobile Phones or Tablets only.

A: If you want to get the resulting audio recorded on the DL-01 into a mixer, you have two choices (1) you can move the resulting recording (the .WAV file) into another playback device which is connected to a mixer (probably the normal case ); or (2) play out the recorded file directly from the DL-10. I have had cases when in the field where time was of the essence where I have had to use #2. It happens enough that I have standard cables in my go-bag for this purpose (3.5mm L+R stereo male to 2x XLR male for L+R -- also carry another cable with 3.5mmRCA connectors) to use the headphones jack on the DL-01 for output. And, yes, the DL-01 recording is 1-channel mono. In the field, when I have had to feed a just-recorded file to a mixer, it works great.
