A: The 5D Mark II and the Sigma 8mm f/3.5 EX DG Circular Fisheye Lens for Canon EF add up to 5.70 / 144.780 mm. We are unable to test but it is our opinion that while the the 180mm would achieve the nodal point, we are sure the fish-eye will see the rail. Q: 7. Hi there. I'm using the ES-1 adapter with a Nikon D7000 and the Nikkor 40mm 1:2.8G lens. The slides appear to be in focus when viewing through the camera, but the pictures I'm getting are not sharp, and I'm losing detail. I've tried manual focus, I've adjusted my aperture to various settings, but nothing seems to improve this. I've seen several reviews from people with the same camera/lens I'm using, and they seem to have been successful. Any suggestions?Thanks!

A: You may be trying to focus too close to the end of the lens. The ES-1 is adjustable for focusing distance. You could also use an extension ring on the lens to gain closer focus. Shoot at f 8 or 11 for best sharpness. Selective manual focus seems best and It also helps to shoot in raw and sharpen and make adjustments in post processing.

Q: 8. Can you adapt this to work with a Canon EOS DSLR? There dont seem to be good options for Canon

A: No adapter is required as this fits in front of the lens and connects to the lens threads. I use this on a Canon Macro lens without any adaptor.

Q: 9. Nikon specs say the ES-1 is 80mm long. Does the 80 include the 24mm extension or is the 80mm the collapsed length? Thanks.

A: There is no extension tube. The ES-1 mounts perfectly on the 40mm Dx macro lens and on my D5500 is great for copying slides. Flash is positioned with diffusers 1 inch from the ES-1 using TTL and aperature priority. I can do 6 slides per minute.

Q: 10. is the rail long enough for a 100-400mm lens? I would only extend the lens up to perhaps 200mm.

A: It is not advisable to use the Sunwayfoto DMP-140R Nodal Slide with most 100-400mm lenses.
