Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have a Varizoom 75mm Tripod. Will this fit?

A: this is a 75mm ball head and hence should fit any standard 75mm tripod.

Q: 2. Why does the aluminum version come with the old K5 fluid head and not new K5S fluid head?

A: iFootage only sells the iFootage Cobra 3 Aluminum Monopod with Mini Tripod Base and K5 Fluid Head with the K5 head. They sell the iFootage Cobra 3 Carbon Fiber Monopod with Pedal-Release Mini Tripod Base and K5S Fluid Head, BH #IF3C180FPK5S, with the K5S head.

Q: 3. Can i shoot in portrait with the fluid head?

A: No. This does not have the option to tilt into portrait position. You can, however, if your camera is mounted within a cage and that cage has mounting threads on all sides, mount your camera in the desired "portrait" position, but we would recommend using caution for such rigging.

Q: 4. Is the plate on the VA5 head Arca compatible?

A: Yes, it is Arca compatible.

Q: 5. Can the head be removed to mount something else directly onto the tripod base?

A: Yes it can be. The head can be removed and you can attach something else to its 3/8"-16 screw.

Q: 6. Hi, It's the quick release plate compatibile with Manfrotto plate?

A: No it is not.

Q: 7. What's the difference between this one and the P-224SR monopod?

A: The discontinued Sirui P224SR Carbon-Fiber Photo/Video Monopod with Folding Tilt Base does not include a head and is made with carbon-fiber material. The current Sirui Aluminum 4 Section Monopod with Feet and VA5 Head has the VA5 Head, is made with aluminum material, and Sirui added the Dual Safety Lock System.

Q: 8. Is the 22 inches length with the head still on, or does it get even shorter with the head removed?

A: The 22 inches length is with the head on. With the head off it will be about 18 inches.

Q: 9. I noticed that the arm for releasing the quick release plate has a Phillips head. Can it be replaced? Somehow mine has broken and I'd rather not throw away an almost perfectly good tripod. Thanks!

A: Contact Davis and Sanford directly (aka Tiffen). I own two D&S tripods, the Fusion and another one. On my other one, the quick release latch broke off and I searched high and low for a replacement. Didn't have any luck so I contacted Tiffen. They sent me a new latch no questions asked.

Q: 10. On Benro’s web site this product is listed as discontinued, but no replacement product suggestion is listed. What is a recommended equivalent product with same (or closely similar) specs?

A: The Benro A373F is most similar to the Benro A2573F. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1512631-REG/benro_a373fbs6pro_a373f_series_3_al.html

What can you say about a monopod? It does exactly what it supposed to do and does a good job.

Very durable. Easy to extend the legs and lock in place. I don't think you need the swivel head but it does add another 3 inches to the piece. I am 6'2 and the extra height makes it easier to film video. All together very good equipment and makes it much easier to shoot video through my camera at my kid's sporting events

I'm a professional videographer and I use this for outdoor photography with a Nikon D750. I love it. I like that I can throw the camera over my shoulder when hiking. It also helps steady the camera. I seriously suggest that you buy this product. Good shooting everyone.

Purchased this monopod several years ago. Then I lost it. Started using my Manfrotto tripod but I just tired of setting it up. Almost reordered a replacement for my missing Oben monopod when I found it again. You know what they say about not realizing what you have until it's gone, well I REALLY appreciate having my Oben ACM-1400 back. It is so convenient & works as advertised. Iuse it with my Sony A57 & attached Sigma 18-240mm lens.

I've not used a monopod before and am now wondering why! I am thoroughly enjoying this product, and the service from B&H was excellent!!

Some of the comments made me nervous but this feels well made to me, solid and stiff, very nice for the money. Im not going use it every day or with very heavy gear so I think itll last a good while. Just a good basic monopod. Sure beats the Frankenstein one I put together out of an old dead tripod. : )

This is a fantastic option for camera stabilization. The Oben is stable and light weight at a very reasonable price.

This monopod is light weight, but sturdy. It does not feel flimsy. The telescoping leg sections lock securely into place. I have shaky hands and use this to steady my camera when taking pictures of birds on my walks. It is easy to attach camera to it and to adjust the hight. I have no complaints about it.

This is a very functional monopod. It is lightweight, so it is easy to hall around, has a belt clip, and is tall enough that I can put my camera at eye level without having to crouch over. If you need a monopod, this should do the job, and it is relatively inexpensive.
