Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will my Nikkor 28-200 mm F/3.5-5.6 D IF AF from my F100 work with this digital body without any restrictions?

A: Yes, the Nikkor 28-200mm D lens will work with the Nikon D610 without restriction.

Q: 2. Deos it work with the Tamron 70-210 f/4?

A: Yes it will!

Q: 3. does D610 has oil and dust issues similar to D600. In couple of reviews I have seen people facing the same issue as D600. I would like to know what B&H thinks about this. I am trying to decide between canon 6D and D610. Your suggestion could help a lot.

A: The D610 does not have oil and dust issues. People who are having issues are most likely not using or changing their lenses in a proper manner.

Q: 4. Does the D610 have a histogram when reviewing images?

A: The D610 does have a RGB Histogram when reviewing photos.

Q: 5. Hi, Is there a copy of original manufacturer manual included in the box?

A: Yes, the Nikon D610 will come with an original manufacturer's manual in the box.

Q: 6. I have the 610. When I try to use the bulb feature the shutter will only remain open for 30 seconds max then close..I would like to take up to 5 minute exposures. Am I doing something wrong?

A: I would recommend getting a remote for exposures longer than 30 seconds, or else you will need to physically hold the shutter down manually. You also need to make sure that you're shooting in manual M mode.

Q: 7. what is the improvment of NIKON D610 from D600 ?

A: The D610 features an improved shutter mechanism and continuous shooting speed is improved over the D600 to 6 fps. The other notable advancement of the D610 is Continuous Quiet Mode, which enables the camera to silently shoot up to 3 frames without the noise of the cameras mirror lifting and dropping. This is a key feature for photographers who need to shoot in environments such as plays/operas etc where absolute silence is required. Aside from that there are not really any other notable changes. - Yossi

Q: 8. Has anyone had any of the dust spots / oil from shutter that people had with the D600?

A: Not me. but a guy under the name of ATL Photographer has. check him out

Q: 9. Does a manual come with the camera--none is included in the In-The-Box list? If not, is a manual available?

A: The Nikon D610 does come packaged with a User Manual from Nikon.

Q: 10. USA version?

A: Yes it is a Nikon USA warranted version. B&H does not actually deal in any grey market or imported market digital cameras.
