A: As in most document scanners, this is TWAIN and ISIS compliant.TWAIN is more common and is usually the only driver provided with consumer scanner models. ISIS is the driver standard developed by Pixel Translations. ISIS provides a more standardized interface for high-speed scanners, and is often required to scan at the scanners rated speed. Neither of these work with TAM and will not read bar codes.

A: This scanner does not come with editing software. In order to do this, you'll need to import the file into Word or some other word processing editing program, like LibreOffice. There should not be any compatibility issue with file output formats.
