The white B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Standard Sensitivity, with Hardwired TA5F Connector for Lectrosonics Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter. It can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, house of worship, and general lavalier applications.

This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as in presentations or sermons. Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in a performer's hair or on costumes, ties, or behind a shirt button. It can also be attached to eyeglasses, for a secure, discreet, and convenient alternative to hair miking. The ultrathin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's aramid-reinforced cable terminates to a TA5F connector for direct connection to Lectrosonics IM, LM, UM100, UM110, UM190, UM190b, UM195b, UM200, UM200b, UM200c, UM250b, UM250c, UM300b, UM400, and UM500 wireless bodypack transmitters.

Additionally, the included swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with a protective cap, which can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Standard, for most uses.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there the ability to connect audio to an XLR input?

A: With the proper cables or adapters, it can. To record both channels, you may want to get a 3.5mm Mini to dual XLR, such as HOHMX003Y

Q: 2. Can I use any USB C to USB C cable for recording with an Android phone? Or do I need the cable Rode makes?

A: Any USB cable that will carry data will work.

Q: 3. Can I use TRRS Lavalier microphones even though it has a TRS input?

A: Yes, but you will need to use an adapter like the Rode SC3 3.5mm TRRS Female to 3.5mm Right-Angle TRS Male Adapter Cable (B&H # ROSC3) which will convert the 3.5mm TRRS plug on the mic to 3.5mm TRS for compatibility with the mic input on the Wireless GO II transmitter, as well as other standard 3.5mm TRS mic inputs like those on a recorder or camera.

Q: 4. can you use outdoors using only cell data on iphone, and live on zoom?

A: The wireless receiver is powered by the iPhone and sends audio to the phone through its Lightning port, but the wireless receiver does not use the phone's data for any of its functions.

Q: 5. $157 for two lav mics? The Go II kit is $299, why is this then $457? That would make those lavs VERY expensive.

A: The Wireless GO II system (B&H # ROWGII) for $299 includes the two Clip-On Transmitters, the Dual-Channel Wireless Receiver, three SC20 USB Type-A to USB Type-C Cables, an SC5 3.5mm TRS Memory Cable, three Furry Windshields, and a Carry Pouch. The transmitters have built-in microphones but there are no separate external lavalier microphones included with the system. Rode does not include the separate external mics because they are optional accessories. That allows customers to decide whether or not they want a separate microphone and to use any compatible microphone, which they may already have. The B&H Kit (B&H # ROWGIIK) for $456.95 is the same exact Wireless GO II system mentioned above with the addition of two Rode Lavalier GO Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphones (B&H # ROLAVGO). The Lavalier GO microphones are $79 each, which is actually a very reasonable price for a Rode microphone. The B&H Kit was put together for convenience -- to make it easy for customers who want to purchase the Wireless GO II system along with two Lavalier GO microphones to be able to click on one item, add it to their shopping cart, and know that they are purchasing all of the items they need rather than having to add three separate items (the Wireless GO II system plus two Lavalier GO mics) to their shopping cart.

Q: 6. Have they addressed the interference and noise issues with Sony and other cameras through firmware?

A: Hello Tyler, That's a problem Sony has to address, as it caused by the camera's input not being shielded well enough to block RF.

Q: 7. One of my transmitters won't pair anyone else had this problem

A: It is possible for one of the transmitters to unpair from the receiver. If this happens, follow these steps as provide by Rode to attempt a re-sync: "If you need to reconnect a transmitter to the receiver, press and hold the pair button (‘∞‘) on the receiver for three seconds to enable pairing mode, then single-click the power button on the transmitter and wait a few seconds." If the problem persists, please reach out to Rode at (562) 364-7400.

Q: 8. If I plug a Rode shotgun microphone to the jack input of the transmitter, will it disable the audio backup feature?

A: No, connecting a compatible shotgun mic to the transmitter on the Rode Go II will not disable the audio recording feature.

Q: 9. Has anyone actually measured the latency of this system? Old Blink 500 said "12ms" as well-and as we all know now, its well above double that.

A: According to the manufacturer, latency for the system is 12ms when used under optimal conditions.

Q: 10. Can I use this as lav for live sound?

A: Yes. It is an Omni-Directional Microphone, so appropriate caution near speakers is required.
