It features a D-Tap connector on one end and a 4-pin Hirose male connector on the other. Its coiled design provides flexibility to run the cable from one end to the other end of a rig while also keeping a neat connection if the power source is close to the camera.

There are differences in construction between the two models, but you will need to contact Sound Devices regarding the difference in the price between the two models.

A: This is a regulated dummy batery for Sony cameras using L-series batteries. I would not recommend using this to power the SmallHD Indie 7. If you need to power the Indie 7 from Gold or V-mount batteries, SmallHD has battery plate to use in place of the L-series plates. The only regulated dummy battery they released for the Indie 7 seires is going to AC power.
