I already had a Pro Display XDR that sort of works with an iMac Pro but knew it was just a matter of time before I got a Mac Pro. Super fast and love it. So many ports, so much speed. W5700x video card offers more bang for the buck than the Vega II does. I ended up adding another W5700x and 128 GB of ram. Super amazing for Resolve and FCPX.

Out of the box coupled with a Thunderbolt Rocketstor and Excellon USB 3.0 enclosure using Apple Migration assistant, I was up and going in about one hour. The speed increase is considerable if you are running VMWare or doing audio recording.

I use this machine for video and photograph editing as well as web publishing. This is a fast machine. I have now added 8GB or additional ram and 8TB of additional storage - something that is easy on this machine vs. say an iMac. Also much easier to maintain and clean than iMacs, something that is very important in dusty climates.

This machine is exceptionally great, stable upgradable, you don't really want to break the bank, instead of going for higher count CPUs you should grab this 12 core, and update the chip later yourself. The W5700X MPX is also a strong choice for your video needs while the new AMD cards come in.

We are using this Mac Pro with a Dell 28 inch IPS 4k monitor that we also picked up from BH Photo and this screams beauty. We do a lot of timelapse work, so we have Premiere, Lightroom, and After Effects all running without a hitch. We upgraded the ram ourselves to 64gb, which is an easy install, please make sure they snap in or it won't read when upgrading ram. We transcode Red Footage files from Red Cine-X and it chews through footage beautifully. Plays 4k full resolution well on the monitor without stuttering. Make sure to read about the bus ports which are 3. The bottom 2 thunderbolt ports and HDMI are 1 whole port. So we don't connect any of our Pegasus R6 on that. We have (2g Pegasus R6's and GTech Ev drives. No complaints. Recommended Buy!

After having the previous mac pro, this thing is amazingly small and light. I have external hds that weigh more. I love the amount of ports and ease of use. Thing flies through Premier and Logic, even with other things running. Love it.

I bought this Mac, for use as a video editing computer. I knew there was a newer model out there, but considering I was going to upgrade some of the system pieces, it wasn't worth spending $1000 for the newer one, and only getting a little bit of performance increase. This is my 1st Mac, and I love it, its fast, reliable. Took me a couple days to figure out Snow Leopard. I'm not a gamer, so I can't comment on its use for that. I have it setup just how I want it, and hopefully will give me many years of service.

As a pro user I have to admit, I didn't like these new Mac pro's when first introduced after such a long wait for an updated line. But after using this computer I'm on-board. Super silent even under long Maya/Modo renders. It was a big purchase, but my last Mac pro last 5 to 6 years without a problem. I really think this computer will only get faster as more and more apps start to take full advantage of the two GPU's. About B&H. Order was fast easy and helpful costumer service. While I mentioned in a previous review that this machine was about as fast a the 2010 Mac Pro, it seems that when actually put into the production line it is running a little more than 40% faster than the 2010 Mac Pro. So, add a star!
