A: I have the Sony 28-135 and found I could use the clamp-on ring around the front of the lens, although it is a tight fit and doesn't slide on fully due to the tabs Sony put on the lens to mount the standard hood. However, it does stay on okay. I measured the diameter before ordering, but those tabs make it uncertain and I haven't got my hands on an 18-110 yet.
