The black I2 Instrument Microphone, Standard Gain, with TA4F Connector for Electrovoice MB2500 and MSB Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a mic that has been engineered from the ground up for natural on- and off-axis frequency response, low-noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls. This tiny instrument microphone can be used to capture audio in sound reinforcement applications for saxophone, violin, viola, cello, double bass, acoustic guitars, piano, brass, and percussion instruments.

The I2 instrument microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version offers a standard gain and is suitable for close miking and loud instruments like horns. It is supplied with a foam windscreen, a basic clip, and a carrying case. In addition, the 5' cable is permanently attached to the mic and terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Electrovoice MB2500 and MSB wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.

Flexible close miking techniques can be aided by the various selection of instrument mounts (sold separately), which position securely and gently to strings, brass, and more.

Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning, and consistent patterns.

A microphone with a figure-8 (bidirectional) pickup pattern is sensitive to sound coming from the front and coming from the rear, but has a very high rejection for sound coming from the sides. Great for mid/side and Blumlein stereo applications.

Q: 5. what's the difference between the PL-S-2 & the PL-S-3 plate?

A: The PL-S-3 is only capable with the Peak Design Capture Clip V3, while the PL-S-2 works with all generations of the Capture Clip.

Q: 6. what's diameter size?It can fit 7 honeycomb grid ??

A: I was interested to check on this since I have about a dozen standard (I think Speedotron) grids in the studio and I didn't really want to spend the money for the Bron grids. Turns out those standard grids fit and stay in place if I bend the spring outward and extra 1/2 inch. The opening of the L40 is about 6 & 7/8th inches (75mm). My standard' grids are about 6 & 5/8th (68mm) depending on how round they are after years of use. I have used them in Speedo, Hensel and Profoto grid reflectors. So they are a little small, but bending the spring outward a bit does the trick. If I was pointing the head down, I'd put a piece of gaffers tape on it for extra security.

Q: 7. How much does the adapter weigh?

A: The Arriflex Standard Lens to Micro Four Thirds Lens Mount Adapter weighs 133g (4.69 oz).
