A: Since this is a self-contained system, you can definitely use it internationally. The transmitter and receiver sync to each other and the receiver plugs right into your recording device - camera, Xoom recorder, whatever. You just need adapter plugs for whatever country you are in for charging the batteries

A: While Benro indicates the thread size of the screw socket on the base of the Benro B3 Triple Action Ball Head is a 3/8"-16 female-threaded socket, and the thread on the top of the quick release plate is a 1/4-20" male thread, they do not indicate the size of the thread holding the quick release clamp to the ball stem on the ball head.

A: There will be a high noise floor (background hiss) if the gain is set too high, especially when recording to a DSLR. This is because DSLRs and mirrorless stills cameras have generally poor mic preamps. Here's how to minimize noise: On the AVX receiver, turn the output gain to 2 bars (out of the 4). On the camera, set the audio to manual gain and set it to only 1 notch above zero. This will minimize the camera's noisy preamp's effect. If your camera feeds phantom power, turn it off and use a mic level input. That should do it.

A: The Sennheiser AVX wireless system is what as known as a Diversity system. The system functions on channel 8 between 1920 to 1930 MHz. The AVX is constantly looking for the cleanest frequency to transmit on. This is what a diversity system does. There is no need for you to touch any frequency the system will do it for you. The AVX was designed for you basic run and gun shooter.

Q: 7. What is the usable operating range for this product (max distance between transmitter and receiver)?

A: I don't know exactly but I tested mine out and it was FAR! With nothing blocking the distance between the transmitter and receiver I got clean audio from my house to the end of my street which is about 6 houses down. My gues would be at least 600 feet. The only reason that I didn't test it further is because my street came to an end and I know that I most likely will never come close to even needing that much distance. I absolutely love this system.

Q: 10. Just received this Benro B3 Ballhead. I want to use this with the Wimberly Sidekick. The 360 panning is extremely stiff. Is there any adjustment available for this??

A: When I rotate my B3 on the panning axis, I can feel some dampening. For use as a ball head, I do not find it excessive. With that said, I cannot whip the head around like lightning. It wants to turn at a constant, and controlled speed. In other words, no jerky stop, starts, or pans. Imagine a panning video camera.. Perhaps, there is too much dampening for your purposes. I am not aware of any friction adjustment for the panning axis.
