$344.97 $514.01

The TL-SG2210P 8-Port Gigabit PoE Smart Switch with 2 SFP Slots from TP-Link is designed for small and medium business networks that require high connectivity, functionality, and performance. This switch can be configured to meet multiple needs and provides you with 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports that support network traffic at speeds up to 1000 Mbps. Also supported is 802.3af-compliant Power over Ethernet (PoE) up to 53W. PoE passes electrical power along with data on Ethernet cabling, allowing a single cable to provide a data connection and electrical power to devices such as wireless access points or IP cameras.

This 8-port switch includes 2 combo SFP (small form-factor pluggable) slots. This expands the flexibility of your network, as these slots support SONET, Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and other communications standards. It also features an 8K MAC Address Table, which allows you to store a large number of MAC addresses.

Also provided are security features, such as Storm Control, which protects against Broadcast, Multicast, and Unknown-unicast Storm. Network traffic is managed with Quality of Service to help ensure a smooth and even network flow. Setup is simplified with user-friendly web management interfaces, including CLI, SNMP, and RMON. This TP-Link switch operates at 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz and includes a power adapter, resource CD, and rubber feet.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the TP-Link TL-SG1024DE 24-Port Gigabit Easy Smart Switch a POE switch?

A: Unfortunately no. It would be a challenge to find a 24 port POE switch at this price point. If your need is only a few ports, you could supplement this with a small switch that provides a few POE ports (i.e. 8 port switch with 4 POE ports), or utilize POE injectors.

Q: 2. TP-Link rep, what switch is your most inexpensive managed switch?

A: That would be the TL-SF1005D. If you are looking for a sub $20 Gigabit switch look at the LS1005G

Q: 3. Which hardware version is this? v1 or v2?

A: As of 1/29/21 stock, we have V1.

Q: 4. Does it work with OC200 Omada controller?

A: The TP-Link TL-SG2008P JetStream 8-Port PoE+ Compliant Gigabit Managed Switch (BH #TPTLSG2008P) will work with the OC200 Omada controller.

Q: 5. The power budget says 384W with each port able to provide 30W. Does this mean the power budget only supports 12.8 devices or does it support all 48 ports at 8W each? My devices pull a max of 6.5W each.

A: The TP-Link TL-SG3428XMP JetStream 24-Port PoE+ Compliant Gigabit Managed Switch with SFP+ budget of 384w is total draw. Any one port can handle up to 30w. You can use all the ports at a lower amount as long as you do not exceed the total of 384w.

Q: 6. I would like to know what is the power adapter input power data: voltage and frequency?

A: As per the manufacture the TP-Link TL-SG1005P 5-Port Gigabit PoE Unmanaged Switch uses a 56W Power Supply.

Q: 7. What version of the hardware are you selling? TP-Link's website notes several versions, V3.0 and V3.20.

A: We currently do not have an exact version number. We have a mix of V3, V4 and V5 of the TP-Link TL-SG2210P 8-Port Gigabit PoE Smart Switch with 2 SFP Slots depending on the chipset.

Q: 8. Can I run normal CAT5/6 cable from one of the SFP ports to another router/switch's RJ45 port?

A: An Ethernet cable cannot be inserted directly into an SFP fiber port. You would require an adapter such as BH #TPTLSM5310T to facilitate that connection.

Q: 9. What is the hardware revision of this switch?

A: I'm very sorry but the revision is not something the manufacturer tells us before they ship them to us. If they had different part numbers, it would be easy to tell but since they don't, we cannot guarantee which revision is inside the box. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Q: 10. So if I upgrade to a mesh wifi router which has only one ethernet in-port than my old non-mesh wifi router, is this the right device to, in effect, add more ethernet-in ports to the mesh router? Is there a performance hit using this?

A: Yes, the TP-Link TL-SG1005P 5-Port Gigabit PoE+ Unmanaged Switch is exactly what one would use in the case you described, at no detriment to performance.

I used four of these to create a distributed network in an office suite for VoIP telephones and data connectivity. Having the SFP slots allowed for a fiber backbone leaving all the copper ports available. Be cautioned, though, that they come with a default IP address that you should change so as not to have any conflicts.

I bought this switch due to increase power availibility and the fact that it has an internal power transformer so that i didn't have a ecternal brick sitting around to add cord clutter. Using this for 4 omada wall plate wifi mesh AP's (poe), the vpn router, and a hardware cpntroller (poe). The AP's use a LOT less power than the spec sheet says so with this switch i have more availible POE that i think i'd ever be able to use in the limited number of ports. Setup is very nice using the omada hardware controller.

This switch fit my needs exactly, 8 POE+ ports with 2 GbE SPF cages for a total of 10 ports. It is easy enough to use standalone. It'll auto configure POE and looks fine sitting on a desk. The internal power supply really helps with cable clutter. I installed it in my network rack where it has been switching fine under moderate traffic. I haven't had any issues with POE cutting out. I'm managing it with the Omada Software Controller and haven't seen it dropping packets when I have large packet bursts. Within the Omada compatible switches this one starts the rackmount versions. For the cost, I'll probably buy this one again before I go to the 16 port non-POE switch.

The switch is very high end in comparison to the price. Many different configuration options and several features that only really high end switches have. Well worth the price so far. Will try the PoE functionality soon. The set up was simple and accessibility was easy to figure out.

Upgraded from Ubiquiti and am very happy with my decision. The build quality is excellent, and the Omada system is designed really well. I am very happy I got out of the Ubiquiti ecosystem.
