The black I2 Bass and Cello Microphone Kit with LEMO 1-Pin Connector for Sennheiser BF 1083 Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a mic that has been built from the ground up for smooth frequency response, low noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls and natural on- and off-axis response. It can be used to capture natural audio for this instrument.
The I2 microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version features increased sensitivity for distance miking and captures detail for quieter instruments. Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the bass and cello mount, which sits securely behind the bridge with a positioning arm for placement. In addition, the 5' cable is hardwired to the mic and terminates with a LEMO 1-pin connector for direct connection to Sennheiser BF 1083 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.
Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the instrument mounts, which position securely and gently on the instrument for capturing audio.
Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning and consistent patterns.
A microphone with a figure-8 (bidirectional) pickup pattern is sensitive to sound coming from the front and coming from the rear, but has a very high rejection for sound coming from the sides. Great for mid/side and Blumlein stereo applications.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Can two receivers fit/work side by side in one camera that has two xlr inputs?
A: Yes, I have used these as a pair on a Canon XL-10 ENG style camera. There the XLR inputs are really side by side, yet the small footprint of the receivers on the AVX's makes this a non-issue. Great system, with fine clear sound.
Q: 2. Also, how much roll off does the high pass filter do? It just says switchable. Thanks.
A: This is not a published specification. For certain it is below 100Hz.
Q: 3. Can it it be used in Europe, Mexico and the USA without an issue?
A: The Sennheiser AVX-ME2 SET Digital Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System (1.9 GHz), BH # SEAVXME2SET4, is available for worldwide use without any issues as far as we can confirm. Please check with local authorities.
Q: 4. Dear sir, is the Sennheiser MKE 440 compatible with Canon 60D?
A: If the 60D has a microphone jack, I dont why it wouldnt work
Q: 5. Could a client use this audio equipment for their webinars?
A: It would be really useful if you give say blackboard talks and you record or broadcast the video. In a pro setting, TV anchors would use it. If you have someone who turns their head a lot, say takes audience questions from all sides, you may want a face mic instead of this lapel mic, but that's more visible overall.
Q: 6. How hard is it to flip the mic around in the clip without tools?
A: The lapel clip in the Sennheiser AVX-ME2 SET Digital Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System can be easily detached from the mic head for reorienting as needed.
Q: 7. Could I use these for PA (public address) purposes? Will the delay 19millesecond affect what the audience hears from the room speakers?
A: You could but you would be better off using a proper PA. The lav is omni directional which is not well suited for public speaking. You will pick up a lot of things you don't want.
Q: 8. How can I use this with a Canon C70, that has mini XLR?
A: Because the receiver in the Sennheiser AVX-ME2 SET Digital Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System is designed to mount directly to a full-sized XLR input, you will first want to physically adapt it elsewhere on the camera, such as to the shoe mount using the Sennheiser Hot Shoe Mount Adapter for EKP-AVX Receiver (BH #SE564595). Then its full-sized XLR connection can be adapted to the Mini XLR inputs on the Canon EOS C70 Cinema Camera using a cable such as the Kondor Blue Mini-XLR Male to XLR Female Audio Cable for Canon C70 (BH #KOMXLR16BK).
Q: 9. Several on camera monitors have a second cold-shoe mount on the side for something like a microphone. Would there be any issue using this microphone sideways?
A: yes. this mic is designed to give to the left speaker what is left of frame and the same with the right. something or someone that is interested b the middle (in front of the camera) will get an extra boost as well as separation from off camera sounds.if you orient the mic as ou mentioned, you'll get sound bouncing off the ground in one speaker and sound from the sky above in the other which will make for a weird stereo image that at the same time adds noise to the dialog that would otherwise not be there.better to use a mono shotgun style mic or find a way to flip this one right side up.
Q: 10. Is it good for folly too ?
A: Yes the MKH418S is an excellent model to consider for foley recording.
