The Comica Audio SIG.LAV V05 UC is an omnidirectional lavalier microphone that lets you record clear digital speech directly to the USB Type-C port of your Android phone or computer—with control over your mic volume and while monitoring your sound.
The cable features an in-line module that houses a volume-adjustment thumb wheel for adjusting the mic's recording level. A 3.5mm audio output allows you to plug a set of headphones and monitor the mic in real time.
The SIG.LAV V05 UC features an omnidirectional pickup pattern that captures sound from every direction, allowing for a variety of placement options and freedom of movement—even when the subject turns away from the mic.
The microphone is powered via a CR2032 battery and there is an LED indicator to alert you when the battery is running low. The metal construction offers shielding from radio-frequency noise and a foam windscreen is provided to protect against wind noise.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. can this be bought with barrel mic instead of the LAV?
A: This kit currently only comes with a lav.
Q: 2. My Sony ZV1 has a hum in the audio when I use this system. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?
A: Hum is almost always caused by a faulty ground or poor connection. Herea are several possible explanations/solutions for you to try: 1. It could just be a bad input cable. If the shield is broken internally, you'll experience hum. Try replacing the cable or test it on a different device. 2. You may be using the wrong input cable. The Blink 500 Pro B2 system has a LOT of cables, and there are two different ones that look very similar. The TRS cable has two narrow black bands on its metal tip while the TRRS one, which has three bands. Since the ZV1 uses an unbalance stereo input, be sure you are connecting the receiver to the camera using the TRS cable.
Q: 3. I plan on using the Azden SMX-30V on top of my Panasonic s1H so what's the easiest way to also plug in the receiver? Could I attach it to my Atomos Ninja V? Could it just be hooked up to a really cheap storage drive instead of the camera?
A: You have several options for setting things up and recording with all of the mics simultaneously. If you want to record the audio from the SMX-30V and the wireless mics together in the camera, you can use a mini mixer like the Kopul CMX-1-V2 Two-Channel Mini Mixer with Shoe Bracket (B&H # KOCMX1V2). The mixer allows you to connect the mic and wireless receiver to separate inputs and will send one signal with the combined audio of the mics into the camera. A V-bracket like the Vello V-Rig 4.1" Triple Shoe Bracket (B&H # VECB415) can be used to mount the mixer, SMX-30V and wireless receiver on top of the camera. The same setup can connect to the Atomos Ninja V. The mics cannot be connected directly to a storage drive but you can use a digital audio recorder with two or more mic inputs such as the Zoom 4n Pro (B&H # ZOH4NPROBLK) or Tascam DR-40X (B&H # TADR40X) to capture audio on the recorder and if you would like, you can also send a line out from the recorder's headphone jack into the camera's mic input using a level matching cable such as the Sescom LN2MIC-ZOOMH4N - Line to Microphone Attenuation Cable for HDSLR Cameras (B&H # SEL2MZH4N) or Kopul ACH4-25MON Line-to-Mic Attenuator Cable (B&H # KOACH425MON).
Q: 4. Can the mobile phone receiver be charged via cable, outside the case?
A: The receiver in the Saramonic Blink 500 Pro B4 2-Person Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System for Lightning iOS Devices is bus powered via lightning connection to an iOS device and is not capable of being charged externally.
Q: 5. Does this mic pick up cellphone signal static? Example during downloading or a livestream.
A: The Rode VideoMic Me-C should not pick up cellphone signal static but occasionally after updates to you Android operating system, there can be compatibility issues with the microphone that can cause clicking, distortion, or other noises. To resolve this and avoid any issues with incompatibility, Rode recommends that anytime you update your Android operating system, use the Rode Reporter app to check for firmware updates. The VideoMic Me-C is regularly updated with new firmware to ensure compatibility with current Android operating system updates and new Android devices. If you ever experience issues with your microphone or have updated your device, be sure to update your firmware using the Rode Reporter app.
Q: 6. How is the Lav clip build quality? I have another saramonic system and the clips broke after 2 shoots.
A: The lavalier microphones are basic and reliable. The build quality is very good given the price point for the complete package.
Q: 7. does this work with an iPhone with the case on? Does plugging this mic in disable the speakers for playback?
A: The RODE VideoMic Me-C Directional Microphone for Android Devices will work with some phone cases, but as these are not a standard size it is impossible to guarantee. You will not be able to use your iPhone speakers while the microphone is in use.
Q: 8. Does this mic rotate after it is plugged in?
A: No you cannot rotate the Rode Videomic Me-C. You can plug it in facing either direction, so it will accommodate a vlogging scenario or an interviewing scenario.
Q: 9. Would this work on a DJI action 3?
A: The Rode VideoMic Me-C is not compatible with the DJI Action 3.
Q: 10. Is the lightning connector fit with iPhone 12 Pro Max with moment case
A: It depends on the design of the case and how much space it provides around the Lightning port to allow the Lightning connector on the wireless receiver from the Saramonic Blink 500 Pro B3 Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System for Lightning iOS Devices. if there is not enough space to allow the receiver to rest flush against the iPhone, then you would need to take the iPhone out of the case in order to properly connect the receiver.
