A: It really depends on the case you have and how much access you have to the phone's USB-C port. The UC receiver does need to be plugged in all the way in order to function properly. It was designed to be flush mounted to the phone so it's easy to use when you're moving around. If you do need to keep the phone inside a case that prevent full access to the USB-C port, you can try a USB-C extender like the IOGEAR USB Type-C Male to Female Adapter - 1' (B&H #IOG2LU3CMF). Keep in mind that this is not how the receiver was intended to attach, so consider using hook-and-look fastener (velcro) to secure the UC receiver onto the back of your phone's case.
