A: Yes you can use the diffusers on the 7'Impact umbrellas.

A: The diffuser can be used with a variety of umbrellas. Due to the subtle differences in shape and reflective material used the diffusers ability to soften the light will vary some. Overall it works well. Stacking two diffusers with out an air gap will not drastically change any potential hotspots though it will lower the overall output.
Q: 6. Will this item work with hot lights?
A: Depends on the 'hot' aspect of the light. If you are talking about LEDs or flourescent lights, yes. If you are talking about incandescent or halogen I would not recommend this.
Q: 7. What size is the umbrella shaft? Will it fit a profoto B1?
A: The shaft is exactly 27 I used it previously on Profoto D1 and Alienbees without any issues.

A: No. This diffuser is specifically designed for a 7' (84 ) umbrella and it works great for that.

A: 84" edge to edge.

A: About 8 inched with a draw string.
