Countryman I2 Bass And Cello Microphone Kit With Ta4f Connector For Revolabs Wireless Transmitters (black)

The black I2 Bass and Cello Microphone Kit with TA4F Connector for Revolabs HD Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a mic that has been built from the ground up for smooth frequency response, low noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls and natural on- and off-axis response. It can be used to capture natural audio for this instrument.
The I2 microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version features increased sensitivity for distance miking and captures detail for quieter instruments. Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the bass and cello mount, which sits securely behind the bridge with a positioning arm for placement. In addition, the 5' cable is hardwired to the mic and terminates with a TA4F connector for direct connection to Revolabs HD wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.
Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the instrument mounts, which position securely and gently on the instrument for capturing audio.
Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning and consistent patterns.
The cardioid polar pattern is effective for picking up sound directly in front of the microphone and is less sensitive to sound directly behind the microphone. It picks up about 1/3 less ambient noise than the omnidirectional polar pattern, so the working distance (the distance a performer could be positioned from the microphone) is approximately 1.7 times that of the omni. The cardioid pattern works best when you can position the microphone directly towards the sound you wish to record (a lead singer, for example) and directly away from unwanted sound sources like a crowd or a loud monitor).
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. The original Wireless Go timed out and shut down after 15 minutes if not connected together. Do these auto turn off after X minutes as well?
A: Yes, this one too times out after 15 minutes of inactivity if there is no wireless link
Q: 2. Does this come with small cover for the lavalier mics ?
A: The lavalier micprophones in this it come with windscreens and tie clips.
Q: 3. The windscreen on the original Wireless Go had a propensity to come off. Has Rode changed the design so that the windscreens stay on the Wireless Go II transmitter?
A: Yes, Rode did improve the design of the windscreen for the Wireless GO II as well as for the original Wireless GO so it will stay securely on the transmitter.
Q: 4. If the on-camera person has the transmitter behind her back and the receiver is by the camera operator, will the system will work? The line of sight would be obstructed by the on-camera person in this case.
A: I don't expect that there would be a problem with the signal from the Rode Wireless GO II transmitter and receiver communicating as long as they are not very far away from each other. In the unlikely event that you do experience any problems with the signal dropping, you can have the person move the transmitter closer to their side or as another option, use a long cable to connect the receiver to the camera and that would allow you to relocate the receiver and place it so it is in better line of sight with the transmitter.
Q: 5. Can you buy just one transmitter? I lost one of mine and didn't know if it were possible to replace just one
A: Yes, you can purchase just the transmitter for the RODE Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder (2.4 GHz, Black). Here's where you can find it: https://bhpho.to/3SzFuHF.
Q: 6. why are there so many questions beibg asked here?
A: BC it is a new product, at a reasonable price and expectations are high that the product will perform as well as the original Rode Wireless Go which is a single channel system.
Q: 7. If you have two of these, how do you record 4 outputs? Do you need buy external recorder?
A: Yes, A 4 channel recorder is needed to have 4 individual "tracks".
Q: 8. When the TX unit is plugged into the computer does it charge at the same time as data? Kinda like a cell phone when it's plugged into a computer.
A: The data tranfer will only take a couple of minutes, not long enough for a proper charge.
Q: 9. how do you charge the wireless go system?
A: The Rode Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder can be recharged using the supplied USB cables. When charging, the battery LED on the transmitters will flash and the battery level icon on the receiver will display a lightning bolt. You can still use the Wireless GO II System while it's charging. There are also battery level icons for each unit on the receiver screen. When the battery is fully charged, it will display a green outline. When the battery level is low, it will turn amber, and when it is very low, it will turn red. You can also purchase a dedicated charging case such as the ANDYCINE Charging Case for Rode Wireless GO/Wireless GO II Microphone System (B&H # ANZGR30) or the Auray Wireless Charger with Case for Rode Wireless GO and Wireless GO II (B&H # AUWCRWG).
Q: 10. Can Rode please explain why there is no gain control for the internal recordings? How do you know what it is being set to and if it is clipping or not?
A: On both the first version of the Rode Go and now on the Rode go II on the bottom of the receiver there's a 3 stage gain level control (0, -12, or -24 dB), for more control you can also use Rode's app.
