The black I2 Instrument Microphone, High Gain, with 2.5mm Waterproof Locking Connector for Lectrosonics WM Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a mic that has been engineered from the ground up for natural on- and off-axis frequency response, low-noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls. This tiny instrument microphone can be used to capture audio in sound reinforcement applications for saxophone, violin, viola, cello, double bass, acoustic guitars, piano, brass, and percussion instruments.
The I2 instrument microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version features increased sensitivity for distance miking and capturing detail in quieter instruments. It is supplied with a foam windscreen, a basic clip, and a carrying case. In addition, the 5' cable is permanently attached to the mic and terminates to a 2.5mm waterproof locking connector for direct connection to Lectrosonics WM wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.
Flexible close miking techniques can be aided by the various selection of instrument mounts (sold separately), which position securely and gently to strings, brass, and more.
Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning, and consistent patterns.
The cardioid polar pattern is effective for picking up sound directly in front of the microphone and is less sensitive to sound directly behind the microphone. It picks up about 1/3 less ambient noise than the omnidirectional polar pattern, so the working distance (the distance a performer could be positioned from the microphone) is approximately 1.7 times that of the omni. The cardioid pattern works best when you can position the microphone directly towards the sound you wish to record (a lead singer, for example) and directly away from unwanted sound sources like a crowd or a loud monitor).

No playlist I presume - and interface just impossible for navigation ?Would need a better playback chip ?Just wonder as I do need an excellent recorder sometimes, I could often listen to good music between these occasions ;-) (I do use my mobile phone and a dedicated mobile player but still I wonder)
A: I don't use mine for playback only for recording. It's an amazing recorder for live music. I download the wave files for further editing
Q: 2. What is the interior configuration of this backpack? Does it have dividers similar to a typical camera storage bag?

Q: 4. Can this be used to in the following: 3 sounds inputs send to a mixer and one xlr connected to the the H6 recording the mix, as well as USB connected to a MAC for live streaming?
A: Unfortunately, the Zoom H6 will not support recording audio unto the SD card and streaming via the USB. You may want to consider the new sound devices mixpre series recorders as they will allow you to write audio to the SD and stream via the USB; B&H# SOMIXPRE6 and B&H# SOMIXPRE3.
Q: 5. recommended cable to export audio to camera during recording?
A: You can use a level matching cable to send audio from the headphone jack on the Zoom H6 recorder to the mic input on your camera. The Kopul ACDR-35 Line-to-Mic Attenuator Cable (B&H # KOACDR35) or Sescom LN2MIC-ZMH4-MON Line Out to Camera Mic In Headphone Tap Cable (B&H # SEL2MZH4N25D) are both good options for compatible level matching cables.
Q: 6. Hello,When I record with MSH-6, sometimes 'high pitch' sound comes out and that sound gets recorded as well. It happens randomly, am I using it right or is it a defect?
A: Make sure your gain is turned down a bit. It sounds like you may be getting feedback as well. Check that the volume on the built-in speaker is lowered as well during recording. Monitoring with headphones may eliminate the issue.
Q: 7. Is it possible to use velcro dividers from another camera bag to make compartments for camera, lenses and other parts?
A: The Ultralight Pro-Sports Waterproof Backpack from Overboard can handle camera inserts bags to divide your gear.
Q: 8. What batteries give the best record times?
A: I have been using Energizer lithium batteries. They last for a very long time.
Q: 9. How can you sync H6 audio with separate video? With the stero-only output, it looks like I'll have to do any post-editing on the recorded wav/mp3 files from the SD card...
A: You will need to download the separate audio from the H6 (SD card) and video files from the camera onto a computer and use a software program such as DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Elements, iMovie, or any other video editing software you prefer to sync up the tracks. If your camera records audio, you can use the camera's audio file as a guide track to help with matching up the audio files that were recorded with the H6.
Q: 10. how do you select line input vs mic input. Does it have a switch or it is done using the menu? Thank you
A: it is done using the menu quite easily.
