The tan B3 Omni Lavalier Mic, Mid Gain, with 6-Pin Hirose Connector for BT3, CT2, TX4, and UT4 Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a water-resistant, miniature lavalier microphone for capturing high-quality audio. It can be used in a variety of applications such as a tie-clip lavalier in interviews, a hair-hidden mic for drama, a water-resistant mic for water sports and hurricane reporting, or simply a small mic to hide in a prop flower vase.

The B3 capsule is resistant to moisture (IP67), which allows for placement in the hair or on bare skin, and its omnidirectional polar pattern minimizes handling noise, wind noise, and plosives (popping). Furthermore, a variety of skin-matching colors are available. This B3's cable terminates to a 6-pin Hirose connector for direct connection to BT3, CT2, TX4, and UT4 Samson wireless bodypack transmitters Additionally, a carrying case, two cable clips, a windscreen, and three protective caps are also included.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B3 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B3 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B3 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB for wireless applications. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B3 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high-overload capability for recording instruments.

Low, head miking for theater.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How long is the lavalier cable?

A: Boya does not provide that spec but most lavalier cables intended for wireless transmitters ar aroud 4-5 feet.

Q: 2. Newbie question... I see that this system uses a 24 bit resolution. If I used the AVX system with the Zoom F6, with this allow for 32 bit float recording?

A: Though the sample rate of the digital transmission of this wireless system is 24-bit, the final signal that comes out of the receiver through the XLR connection has been converted to analog audio. The Zoom F6 will be able to record this signal in the 32 bit floating point format .

Q: 3. Can I use this as lav for live sound?

A: Yes. It is an Omni-Directional Microphone, so appropriate caution near speakers is required.

Q: 4. Will this system work with RODE Lavalier mics, or do I have to use the mics that are included?

A: Yes, the BOYA BY-WM4 PRO-K2 Two-Person Digital Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System can be used with other lavalier microphones made by different manufacturers. You can use certain lavalier mics that have a standard 3.5mm TRS male connector and operate with plug-in power like the Lavalier GO Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone (B&H # ROLAVGO).

Q: 5. Is there an option to charge it directly to the receiver and transmitter if in case the charging case breakdown?

A: Yes. The transmitters and receivers both have MicroUSB charging ports on them for charging while in use, or away from the case. I can't see a reason the charging case will breakdown, but if it does contact our support team and we will replace it.

Q: 6. My Sony ZV1 has a hum in the audio when I use this system. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?

A: Hum is almost always caused by a faulty ground or poor connection. Herea are several possible explanations/solutions for you to try: 1. It could just be a bad input cable. If the shield is broken internally, you'll experience hum. Try replacing the cable or test it on a different device. 2. You may be using the wrong input cable. The Blink 500 Pro B2 system has a LOT of cables, and there are two different ones that look very similar. The TRS cable has two narrow black bands on its metal tip while the TRRS one, which has three bands. Since the ZV1 uses an unbalance stereo input, be sure you are connecting the receiver to the camera using the TRS cable.

Q: 7. On the receiver does one mic go out the left channel and the other mic on the right channel or are they mixed together?

A: When using the Saramonic SR-WM2100 2-Person Camera-Mount Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System to record, the audio from both microphones is combined into a mono signal, so that both mics can be heard on the left and right channels.

Q: 8. If you are using the system to feed audio into a computer without recording (think Zoom webinar), how long do the batteries last?

A: The receiver in the Rode Wireless GO II Single 1-Person Compact Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System/Recorder Kit should charge and receive USB bus power while connected to a computer and acting as an audio interface for use with software programs such as Zoom. The receiver battery should not be subject to failure or power loss as long as the receiver is connected over USB.

Q: 9. Could these have any possible interference issues if using at a busy trade show?

A: Yes that is possible.

Q: 10. Does this system record the two audio channels as two seperate audio tracks?

A: The specs do not indicate two SEPARATE audio channels; there is a single audio output listed as a balanced line out (TRS). USUALLY, these types of receivers "mix" the two mics into one channel. IF it does record these separately, it would be as a stereo signal, one mic to the Left, one mic to the Right. This is typical of these types of receivers. That means you MAY have the ability to adjust each mic received separately, however, you would need to move these to the "center" in post production, otherwise the mics would be far left and right, so would not be ideal, as each person on the individual mics would be far left and far right when played back, which may be un-natural when viewing two people in conversation, if they are shown at center in the video.
