Countryman I2 Instrument Mic, Standard Gain, With Ta4f Connector For Beyerdynamic, Mipro, And Peavy Wireless Transmitters (black)
- Product Code: ga194799
-
The black I2 Instrument Microphone, Standard Gain, with TA4F Connector for Beyerdynamic, MIPRO, and Peavy Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a mic that has been engineered from the ground up for natural on- and off-axis frequency response, low-noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls. This tiny instrument microphone can be used to capture audio in sound reinforcement applications for saxophone, violin, viola, cello, double bass, acoustic guitars, piano, brass, and percussion instruments.
The I2 instrument microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version offers a standard gain and is suitable for close miking and loud instruments like horns. It is supplied with a foam windscreen, a basic clip, and a carrying case. In addition, the 5' cable is permanently attached to the mic and terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Beyerdynamic, MIPRO, and Peavy wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.
Flexible close miking techniques can be aided by the various selection of instrument mounts (sold separately), which position securely and gently to strings, brass, and more.
Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning, and consistent patterns.
The cardioid polar pattern is effective for picking up sound directly in front of the microphone and is less sensitive to sound directly behind the microphone. It picks up about 1/3 less ambient noise than the omnidirectional polar pattern, so the working distance (the distance a performer could be positioned from the microphone) is approximately 1.7 times that of the omni. The cardioid pattern works best when you can position the microphone directly towards the sound you wish to record (a lead singer, for example) and directly away from unwanted sound sources like a crowd or a loud monitor).

Q: 1. Can you please tell me who in the US processes this film?
A: Hello,Check out CINELABS: We process all Regular 8mm, Super 8mm and Max 8mm films . http://bhpho.to/1dk0Hat
Q: 2. Will this work with regular 8 mm cameras?
A: The Fomapan R100 Black and White Transparency Film (Double Standard 8mm, 32.8' Reel) is designed for use with 8mm film cameras.
Q: 3. is this silent film? or does it have a magnetic sound strip?
A: Hi, FOMAPAN R100 is Double 8mm SILENT filmstock. Double 8mm was once made with a magnetic sound stripe, but this was over 35 years ago. Double 8mm is actually Regular 8mm film (after processing and slitting down from its 16mm width to 8mm film width). Super 8mm motion picture film was made available in a magnetic sound version (since there were many Super 8mm sound cameras, as well as sound projectors made in the heyday of Super 8mm filmmaking), but all sound filmstock was discontinued by the four main manufacturers by the late 1990s (FUJI aka their Single-8 Super 8mm type film, KODAK, AGFA, and SAKURA....of which various other label and store brand films were made from these also). Keep in mind this particular filmstock FOMAPAN R-100 DOUBLE 8mm is intended for Double 8mm movie cameras (not to be confused with Super 8mm, nor the Double Super 8mm cousin which employs also a 16mm width film but with Super 8mm perforations and although didn't replace Regular 8mm film, but many cameras were made for this parallel format.....NOTE: the two formats are not compatible nor interchangeable with each other). I apologize in advance for any overkill in this information, since there are many whom desire to work in the 8mm gauges, but aren't aware of the variations. By the way, this is a super silver rich old world stock that delivers deep blacks, nice texured grain, decent midtones and clean whites. This film can also be push processed, as well as done in a nice rich brown Sepia tone. Note, that not all labs can properly process this film, since the B&W Reversal process changed a few years back to accommodate the EPA in the USA, so there are some processing problems and some labs won't do this film. I personally love this filmstock and if you enjoy B&W film, so will you. Best regard, Martin Baumgarten
Q: 4. Will this work in a Dejur Electra 8mm?
A: This film is NOT for super 8mm cameras. It is only for standard 8mm cameras.
Q: 5. I have a Yashica EE automatic 8. I've measured the empty take-up reel and it's 2 inches big at max. Will this fit in my camera?
A: Yes, the Fomapan will work. 8mm film width, sprocket holes, and reels are all the same the world over. If you get an 8mm camera like the Yashica EE Automatic 8 , Fomapan will work with it.
Q: 6. I just got my grandpas Bell and Howell Sportster. Im just starting to get educated. Will this film work?
A: Yes, this is the only film in the world that will work in (non Super 8) 8mm movie cameras like the Sporster. Be sure to talk to the lab that is going to process the film so that you two are on the same page. You will have to learn how to thread the film, (research on-line for a manual) expose it, flip it, and then ship to the lab.
Q: 7. Will this film work with a Minolta XL 601?
A: No. This is regular 8mm film. Your camera uses super 8mm film. That type of film is also avaliable on this site.
Q: 8. I have an 8mm camera (kodak brownie) that takes a 25 foot roll. Is the reel for the 33 foot roll the same size or will it be too large for my camera?
A: This roll is 10 meters long or about 32 feet 9 and 3/4 inches.
Q: 9. I have a Revere 116-D regular 8mm camera that only has an ASA dial setting between 10 and 40 ASA. If I use this Fomapan 100 ISO film and film at the 40 ASA setting on the camera, what number would I need to ask for the film to be pulled when getting developed? Would it be -1 or more?
A: Ask them to pull it about 1-1.5 stops.
Q: 10. What is the expiration date? When were they manufactured?
A: B&H buys and sells film in bulk. In general we regularly maintain fresh film stock. All of our film is at least 6 months from expiration (typically much longer). Anytime film stock is less than 6 months from expiration we sell it in a separate section and label it as short-dated film and also price it with a slight discount (again due to the volumes we sell this rarely occurs). Unfortunately we do not have access to our inventory to hand inspect the expiration date of any of our films prior to purchase.
