Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hi, has anyone who got it shipped internationaly and scanned with xray had any problems with exposure?

A: The film will not be affected during the shipping process.

Q: 2. Will this bag fit a 15.6 laptop?

A: I would not suggest it. This would fit up to 15" laptop

Q: 3. Do you have to mix the whole gallon at one time? Should it all be mixed at one time? How long does the developer last mixed up in a gallon jug? When you use it for 1 print developing session, do you throw out the developer that you just used?

A: Kodak recommends that you mix the entire package due to the fact that the different dry chemicals will separate and stratify in the package due to shipping. Once the stock solution is mixed with water it will keep up to 6 months in a full tightly sealed container. You can keep multiple smaller containers of the stock solution if you desire, again they should be full and tightly capped.Regarding a printing session, Kodak states a capacity of 120 8x10 prints per gallon of 1:2 dilution developer. Most people never attempt to use it to full capacity since the developer is cheap and it can be difficult to detect when the developer is becoming exhausted. You may mistake exhausted developer for insufficient exposure or contrast. If your a hobbyist then use it for something less and replace. I personally use it to 50 to 75 percent of capacity and never more that two printing session due to concern of extended exposure to the air / oxidation.

Q: 4. when is the expire date?

A: Its usually about 2 years from when you get it. B&H is always great about expiration.

Q: 5. whats the expiration date?

A: Kodak does not provide expiration date on it's Kodak 8 x 10" Portra 400 Color Film (10 Sheets).

Q: 6. How many exposures per one roll of the 120 Professional Portra 400 Color Negative Film? Shooting from a Hasselblad and no exposure count is specified in the box of film that I have.

A: With a Hasselblad you can get up to 12 exposures per roll of 120 film.

Q: 7. Can Anvil 11 hold a D810?

A: My Anvil Slim 15 holds a Nikon D3X with a Nikkor 24-70mm 2.8 attached, a Nikkor 70-200mm 2.8, 8attery charger, flash, extra battery, multiplier lens, 15 MacBook Pro, iPad, chargers, cables, and other items with room left over.

Q: 8. can you use this film for any type of film camera?

A: As long as that camera is designed to use 120 film, yes it will. You can also use it in cameras that use 620 film if you do some trimming of the spool or respool it onto a 620 spool. It will not work in a camera that shoots 135/35mm film however.

Q: 9. How many exposures could I get with one roll of this film if I was using a Nikon FM-10?

A: This film is not compatible with 35mm cameras, but rather medium format. I suggest Kodak TX 135-36 Tri-X Pan Black & White Print Film, which will give you 36 exposures: http://bhpho.to/1m9bwkW

Q: 10. Is Kodak film still being produced, and by whom?

A: Kodak is still in business. This film is produced by Kodak.
