The black I2 Bass and Cello Microphone Kit with TA4F Connector for Electrovoice BP-300, BPU-2, BPU-2Pro, BPU-2Pro-REF, BPU-R, CSB-1000, NBPU, NBPU-G, WTU-2, and RE3-BPT Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a mic that has been built from the ground up for smooth frequency response, low noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls and natural on- and off-axis response. It can be used to capture natural audio for this instrument.

The I2 microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version features increased sensitivity for distance miking and captures detail for quieter instruments. Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the bass and cello mount, which sits securely behind the bridge with a positioning arm for placement. In addition, the 5' cable is hardwired to the mic and terminates with a TA4F connector for direct connection to Electrovoice BP-300, BPU-2, BPU-2Pro, BPU-2Pro-REF, BPU-R, CSB-1000, NBPU, NBPU-G, WTU-2, and RE3-BPT wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.

Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the instrument mounts, which position securely and gently on the instrument for capturing audio.

Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning and consistent patterns.

The hypercardioid polar pattern has a narrower pickup pattern in its front than the cardioid polar pattern. It offers better rejection of ambient noise and the working distance is about twice that of the omni polar pattern. The hypercardioid has a small "pickup lobe" directly behind the microphone and exhibits maximum rejection areas behind and to the sides (about 60 degrees away from the rear of the microphone on either side) of the mic. The hypercardioid pattern works best when the loudest unwanted sounds—like speakers—can be positioned in these nulls.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with a Canon 6D?

A: Yes, the Rode Wireless GO II Single 1-Person Compact Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System/Recorder Kit is compatible for use with a Canon EOS 6D DSLR Camera.

Q: 2. Are these wireless go mic's good with the Canon EOS rebel T7?

A: Because the Canon EOS Rebel T7 does not have a microphone input, the Rode Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder is not able to connect and send audio into it. The Rebel T7i has the appropriate and necessary input.

Q: 3. Can the RODE connect to ? Gemini ES-210MXBLU-STPortable PA System B&H #GEES210MXBST ' MFR #ES-210MXBLU-ST ?

A: Yes, you can connect the RODE Wireless GO II Single 1-Person Compact Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System/Recorder to an input on the Gemini ES-210MXBLU-ST Portable PA System. All you need is a cable like the Kopul Stereo Right-Angle 1/8" Male Mini-Jack to XLR Male Cable - 1.5' (B&H # KORSMXM015) to connect the output from the Wireless GO II receiver to an XLR input on the mixer.

Q: 4. Does it work with Canon EOS R

A: Yes it will.

Q: 5. Does the battery life change significantly when the wired lav mics are connected?

A: No, most lavalier microphones like the Polsen PL-5 Mini Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone operate using a very small amount of voltage and don't require much power from the transmitter. You should not experience any significant changes to battery life when using the PL-5 with the Rode Wireless GO II Mic System.

Q: 6. is the 3.5 mm output from the Receiver stereo (from each of the transmitters?)

A: The output connector on the Rode Wireless GO II receiver is 3.5mm TRS. The receiver can be set to send either stereo or dual mono output from both of the transmitters.

Q: 7. Can I use this to transmit from a ZOOM H6 via line out to my camera? Would I need to reduce the stereo line out to mono? I want to record classical music concerts with the ZOOM H6 closer to the group than the camera but have the audio go straight into the camera.

A: The Rode Wireless GO II's transmitters are designed to accept a mono mic-level signal, so output from the recorder would need to be in mono running through a mic to line attenuator cable such as BH #WHH4NL3.5.

Q: 8. Will that future update allow multiple GO 1's transmitters to connect to the new go2 receiver? Aka could i add in my original one to have 3 Transmit and 1 receiver?

A: No. The Wireless Go II receiver has two channels and will only function with a maximum of two transmitters. Any future firmware updates would not create a third channel for the receiver.

Q: 9. Latency?

A: 3.5ms-4.2ms

Q: 10. Can I get audio out from the USB-C port with a USB-C to 3.5mm cable?

A: The Rode Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder allows for audio output through the receiver's USB C connection, however it requires another USB connection on the receiving end to output audio in this manner. The receiver has a dedicated 3.5mm TRS output for analog audio connections.
